Advantages Advantages Good Quality with 10 year guarantee

Disadvantages Disadvantages The sales talk can take hours.

I don't like the way double glazing is sold, and have no time to listen to salesmen trying desparately to earn their commission. I bought a window for my lounge 10 years ago from this company and had no problems at all, so they were the obvious choice when I wanted the rest of the windows replaced. The double glazing companies are not so easy to find when you need them, but I only had to wait a few weeks before a rep. telephoned. An appointment was made, and confirmed by them several times ... "You will be there, won't you?" I guess they have a hard time selling their product. The salesman ... more

Advantages Advantages Fantastic Products, lasts a life time

Disadvantages Disadvantages People dont seem to like the salesmen

Zenith Windows is owned by the Bowater group. Together with its sister company, Staybrite, both merged together to form, Zenith Staybrite. The company has some fantastic products, and the quality of installation is second to none! Their products are made from virgin grade PVC U, which means they wont fade or discolour, and to keep quality control as tight as possible, its all made in house in their massive Norfolk factory, and then shipped out to local fitting depots, its a large company, with the local touch! Their prices may seem high, but if you bare in mind the extreme quality of the ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Everything else.

I read with interest some of the comments on the forum regarding this company. We thought originally that we had just had a bad experience but obviously we are not the only ones ! We had doors and windows fitted last year and are quite pleased with the overall look, but take a closer look and not all seems as it is. It started out with a visit from someone canvassing for business who were in the area for two days only and would we be interested in a no obligation quote ! Well, we were going to renew the windows anyway so thought no harm in it, why not. We were given a piece of paper which we ... more

    Advantages Advantages Competitive price (eventually)

Disadvantages Disadvantages Late, don't bother to turn up, appointments take hours and over priced then they cancel your order!

We have been thinking for a while about getting new double glazing just at the front of our house. As luck would have it someone from Zenith knocked on the door saying they were looking for "show homes" in the area - homes they put double glazing in basically at cost price and in return they use you photo and you have a board outside your house for a while. What a load of rubbish. We made an appointment for 8pm so I was home from work in time. The guy eventually turned up at 9pm and proceeded to knock a photo of my baby off the side and it smashed on the floor. We then spent the next hour and a ... more

Advantages Advantages exellent product good installation

    Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive, iffy salesman

Our experience with Zenith windows began as many do with a canvasser ringing the doorbell. Now it must be said that we did indeed need new windows as our old wooden framed windows were well past their sell by date and if the wind was in the right direction the curtains would blow gently in the breeze. So the appearence of the canvasser gave us the push to do something about our windows and we arranged for the salesman to return a few days later. When he arrived he was a well dressed, well spoken man who actually turned up at the arranged time! After a couple of hours of sales pitch and ... more

We called Zenith Staybrite for a conservatory quote which was supposed to be "NO obligation" according to Zenith's own words. Unfortunately, the real experience has demonstrated otherwise. First of all, the salesman arrived half an hour late with no apology or explanation. He then spent about 15 mins rummaging in his car for some folders and eventually came in. 5 minutes later he popped out to his car again to get something else. In fact, for the whole first hour he kept on popping in and out of the house because he needed to get something from his car. We tried to be patient. Big mistake ... more

Advantages Advantages Good quality product and generally good service.

Disadvantages Disadvantages You pay a lot more than if you get a builder to do it for you.

My wife and I were recently taken to court by Zenith because we held back part of our payment for a window they measured incorrectly. We won the case, and I'm not posting this review to complain about them - merely to warn potential customers about the discrepancy that caused us to end up in court. We were building an extension and wanted some windows put into the extension, with one being fitted into a wall in an existing part of our house. That specific window was measured incorrectly by the surveyor from Zenith. Later, they sent us a form to sign and send back to order the windows, at which ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages High pressure sales technique

Staybrite knocked on my door and started trying to pull my already double glazed windows to bits. I stopped them short and invited them to give us a quote for roofline and doors only, so they arranged an appointment. Before the appointment(s) they telephoned and gave OH a full sales pitch over the phone - I thought at least that meant the appointment would be quick. Not only did they keep pestering with phone calls to confirm apointments, they missed the first and were late for the second. When they finally arrived the saleswoman clearly intended to be there a while as she spent the first 5-10 ... more

The Inside Story of the Zenith Staybrite Salesman & How to Get the Very Best Deal You make the appointment with the Zenith Staybrite marketing team and are expecting a Showhome Consultant to come round and give you a free, no obligation quote for your nice new windows. Make no mistake; the "Showhome Consultant" is there for one reason and one reason only. To earn sales commission for themselves. You see the "Showhome Consultant" or Sales Agents as Zenith Staybrite prefer to call them, do not get paid any basic salary at all, the only way that they can earn money is by earning sales and finance ... more
