I don't like the way double glazing is sold, and have no time to listen to salesmen trying desparately to earn their commission. I bought a window for my lounge 10 years ago from this company and had no problems at all, so they were the obvious choice when I wanted the rest of the windows replaced. The double glazing companies are not so easy to find when you need them, but I only had to wait a few weeks before a rep. telephoned. An appointment ...

Zenith Windows is owned by the Bowater group. Together with its sister company, Staybrite, both merged together to form, Zenith Staybrite. The company has some fantastic products, and the quality of installation is second to none! Etc, etc, etc ! We had a phone call 5 weeks after the windows and doors had been fitted enquiring as to our interest in replacement windows and would we like to arrange an appointment for a salesman to visit with a no obligation quote guaranteed ...

Our experience with Zenith windows began as many do with a canvasser ringing the doorbell. Now it must be said that we did indeed need new windows as our old wooden framed windows were well past their sell by date and if the wind was in the right direction the curtains would blow gently in the breeze. So the appearence of the canvasser gave us the push to do something about our windows and we arranged for the salesman to return a few days later. ...
...remains to be seen. Will Zenith still be around at the end of the ten year guarentee? I think there is more of a chance than with other less established fims, which was a major factor in us choosing Zenith. And did I pay over the odds well yes probably but to get possitive solutions to my other questions I think it was worth it. I stopped them short and invited them to give us a quote for roofline and doors only so they arranged an appointment. I'm a fairly recent customer of this company, and I have to agree with all those comments above and below regarding 2 points. First that the product is of a reasonable quality although can be very expensive, but second, that the customer experience and after-sales support is less than desirable. The sales pitch is a comedy show straight out of "Only fools and horses". The pressure put on you to sign up there and then is enormous with all the trimmings, ...
...your money back is a Joke. I like the bit when they start to get on the phone to the sales manager when you don't say, or look like you are not about to sign up blind and start talking to the so called manager about reducing the price. Not convinced that there is anybody on the other end, just the talking clock !!! If they're that good as salesmen, they already know the base line so why the need to make the play-act ! A guy from Zenith Staybrite knocked at the door and offered me a free quote to replace the facia's on my house, valid for 2 years. I agreed a 7pm appointment (because a salesman was just around the corner in the next street) after which he left. I then logged onto the internet and found Ciao by searching on 'Zenith Staybrite' and read the reviews, which made me very wary of the service i was about to receive. Not a brilliant experience so far! Windows are just OK. Spent weeks agreeing the design of the leadwork with the head office technician, and doing the surveyors job for him. Windows were fitted in April by two guys who were wizards with foam filler and mastic, thinking my two storey bay could be adequately supported by two poles that were too short and a couple of bits of wood! (Original 1930's iron support removed). Factory made two windows with wrong glass-took 3 weeks to change this (whole installation only took two weeks to make!!). Since fitted I've had a twisted frame (outstanding), warped french door, crooked dummy vent and one french door that wouldn't stay open. Can't seem to clean glass either. ...

I will let you in on a secret: almost ALL double glazing firms offer THE VERY SAME GUARANTEE! IT'S A LEGAL REQUIREMENT IN THE UK! ...A Google search picked up Zenith Staybright so I called them and asked for a quote. What a mistake! I had the same sales experience as that recounted by most of the other reviewers. A young guy drove up to my house, in his private car, an hour late for the appointment, *after* Staybright had called the day before to confirm the appointment time. Just at the time he was scheduled to show up, Staybright called to say that he was running 30 minutes ...
