Zoooooooom
Review of Zoom 505 by godspeed

Advantages: Fantastic value
Disadvantages: No tremolo, delays don't very much

The Zoom 505 is probably the best multi-effects unit on the market. I know there are better sounding pedals, but the sheer value of this thing surpasses them all. I got mine second hand, with the external power supply and the expression pedal for £30. You can get the same package new for about £70 or £80. The 505 is a little 2-button pedal in a plastic case (which is actually quite strong), with 4 additional buttons for editing patches. There are ... Read review

Quality, Budget FX!
Review of Zoom 505 by stephenlevin

Advantages: Great value, good looks, good build quality, large range of effects.
Disadvantages: Fiddly interface, not helped by small buttons.

The Zoom 505 is a great little multi-effects pedal that offers superb value, coupled with great looks and build quality. The range of effects is astronomical given the price, ranging from the obligatory reverb and echo sounds, to the more interesting step and harmonic effects. Although customizing the 'patches' with your own effects is quite fiddly (especially given the size of the buttons on the pedal), the most inexperienced guitar player will be ... Read review

This is so good for so little
Review of Zoom 505 by andrewj100

Advantages: So small and cheep
Disadvantages: This is not a replacement for full blown rack effects

...processor not a single. The Zoom is one of the best value for money effects you will find on the market, mine cost less than £70 for the unit and the mains power supply! Compare that with a Boss single effects pedal at £70 each. The Zoom has 9 different effects 7 of which can be selected at once. There are over thirty memory patches where you can configure your effects using up to 7 in one patch and with the unit sat on the floor its just a toe tap ... Read review

Great Sounds from the Zoom 505II
Review of Zoom 505 by 24Sarthe24

Advantages: Compact, cheap as chips, huge editability, great sound
Disadvantages: Not for the professional gigging guitarist

...it myself! This is the revised Zoom 505II guitar effects pedal. The major difference from the original Zoom 505 is that it starts you off with 36 effects patches instead of the original's 24. Its a very small pedal, just 14x12 centimetres, but it packs a great punch. My version is the sleek silver one, but the design is the same, which ever colour you buy. The essence of the device is that it allowes the guitarist to utilise up to 36 patch ... Read review

Pedal Power
Review of Zoom 505 by Trev1000

Advantages: 24 effects for price of 1
Disadvantages: None

...I'm talking about is the Zoom 505 Compact, it's a single pedal multi effects processor that attaches the same way any other pedal does, and it's a clever little tool that removes the need for switch boxes and multiple foot switches, and runs via battery or mains adapter. The basic unit is about twice the size of the average foot switch and has two pedals, by pressing both together it turns off all effects. The cool part is that you can program ... Read review

Wah "Wow!"
Review of Zoom 505 by Matticus

Advantages: Excellent Value For Money!
Disadvantages: The "Space Age Plastic"

Well where can I start. Ill cover the most valid points Being a novice guitarist I started off with a Encroe guitar with a little 10 watt practice amp, as you can probably guessed after about 6 months I needed more! More!. I first saw this effects pedal at a friends house but never actually saw it in action because he's a bum and cant be botherd to get some new batteries. :| So I went looking for it as I loved the look and he recomended it ... The Zoom 505
Review of Zoom 505 by Pieman1984

Advantages: loads of very good effects
Disadvantages: it costs £50

...There are other products from Zoom for bass guitar and for other effects but I think the 505 is the best out of the lot. Its effects include digital delay, distortion and many more. Anyone who wants to have a bit of a laugh with there electric guitar or is in a band and wants to get some good effects for there songs then this is a must. ... Read review
