Advantages Advantages No crowds and long queues and you get to explore the whole site aisle by aisle

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Substitutions are horrible.

I like to buy my groceries by shopping in person but sometimes I feel too tired or too lazy to go out, so I do the easy and quick option which is online shopping. I have used a few online shopping sites like Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s and Asda’s. My recent purchase from Asda’s was based on the fact that they were offering free delivery on orders over £99 via entering a special code. This was vital for me because I usually have to fork out an extra £5.00 on delivery in addition to the hefty shopping list which is usually above £99. I’m going to share my thoughts and my experience via this review and ... more

Advantages Advantages cheaper than other supermarkets, website easy to use, deliveries on time

Disadvantages Disadvantages items out of stock, wrong items sent, customer service team is not helpful, poor customer service

Grocery Shopping = = = = = = = = = = I don't mind going grocery shopping and it doesn't bother me having to go out and do it, how-ever due to work commitments and not being able to get to my local supermarket all the time I decided to start shopping for some of these items online and having them delivered. My local supermarket is Sainsbury's, how-ever quite often I will go to my local store to find shelves empty or products that go out of date the following day, this is especially the case with their loaves or bread. I find Asda really cheap for shopping and I also find that they have really ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap and lots of choices

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the clearest of sites to get around

You Asda go there I normally shop at Tesco.com - but occasionally I stray over the fence and look around for comparisons. This week I did a grocery shop at Asda for the first time, as it saved me £7 on my overall shop and we are saving pennies wherever we can. So I wanted to share my experience with you, and pass on any helpful advice that I learnt from my online travels. It Asda start somewhere Asda was formed in 1965, but since 1999 it has become a subsidary of Wal-Mart, which is one of America's largest retail companies. It was originally formed by ASociated DAiries, hence the name. It is ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy way to buy groceries

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Possible mistakes

Asda.com (home shopping) Before using Asda home shopping I read all the reviews written about it to know what kind of service I should expect. I read some fairly good reviews and other terribly bad experiences, and I took the risk. I waited to have a bad experience with Asda before I review the service, but now after six deliveries, nothing seriously bad happened. Still, I will try to discuss all the negative aspects that some reviewers mentioned. To register, you have to make sure that Asda delivers to your address, then you have to provide some basic information. I read in one of the reviews ... more

    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Wide range of cheap products, easy to use, delivery prices not too bad, excellent customer service

Disadvantages Disadvantages Search engine not great, don't always deliver on time

I've been using Asda online shopping for well over a year now as I don't have a car and the nearest supermarket to me is amazingly over-priced and doesn't have much choice. I've also tried Tesco's online shopping after receiving money off vouchers with them, but I've found Asda to be much better. The Website This website has recently been updated and I feel it's easier to use than the old one. The website is mainly green & white with bursts of red every now and then indicating special offers. There is a white bar at the top of the page when you first go on that has 'Your Favourites', 'Your ... more

Advantages Advantages Quick, some nice features in the online store, relatively simple.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't 'feel' the goods, sometimes delivery can be a bit pricey.

One of the things I hate about living in the countryside is the fact that the nearest supermarket is a trek and a half away. As we don't have a car at the moment it means walking is our only means of transport, unless we manage to time it at the right point a bus comes along (which isn't often). Following a hectic day yesterday, and being too harrassed to even contemplate the walk to the shops, the walk back and not to mention being weighed down with shopping, Shushy and I decided to order online from Asda. We already have an account at Asda because we've had food delivered from them a few ... more

Advantages Advantages Very easy to use website

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not all your shopping will arrive

Trying to following in the footsteps of the mighty Tesco, Asda have jumped on the bandwagon and you can now order your shopping via the internet (www.asda.co.uk). Once you have checked that they deliver to your area (you put your postcode in and the website will tell you), it is very easy to register your address and debit/credit card details and then off you go. The website itself it split into various categories: CD/DVD/Games, Flowers, Gifts, Mobile Phones, Opticians, Photo, Travel and Groceries to your door. My review will focus on the Groceries to your door facility: ***Ordering On-line*** ... more

Advantages Advantages A good and easy to use website.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too many problems with delivery.

Asda.com Home Delivery So this month I decided to do my first ever home delivery for my food shop, we were away when we got paid, and then my husband was working nights for the next few nights, so desperate for food, we decided to use Asda for a delivery for yesterday evening. We have often thought of doing a home delivery, thinking it would save us a lot of money by not impulse buying as we walked around the shop, and without the hassle of having to push past people chatting in the middle of the aisles. Spending over £100, and having to pay £5 for an evening delivery as it would be the only ... more

Advantages Advantages Time Slot for Delivery, Easy to Use, Usual Low ASDA Prices, reasonable delivery charges

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not knowing if a product is out of stock

In light of a recent Christmas Rap from Waynehorrigan I felt I just had to review another online service, so decided this time it would be the online shopping service from ASDA. I first started using Asda.co.uk just over a year ago at Christmas 2003 because I ad heard many good things about them and as I was feeling a bit lazy that day we decided to give online supermarket shopping a go. Well just over 12 months later and now I use it about once a month. How lazy is that? The actual website itself has its moments when it can be really slow, which is a bit of a downside to it. Although in the ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Delivery, customer service

I have used the asda grocery home delivery service a few times now. Everytime I have always found something wrong but this has been small things that were sorted out easily - things missing, things out of date etc. Recently I have not been using asda because I have found the service to be much better elsewhere, however when they emailed me to tell me they had put a free delivery code on my account I thought I would give them one last try. I had my latest order from them delivered last Thursday so nine days ago now and thought I would share my experience and thoughts with you. The Online Shop ... more
