I have also had bad dealings with babies247.com. I ordered a car seat in August 2008, they took payment a few days later. I was told that I would get my order within a week. When it still hadn't come, I called them, had trouble getting a hold of anyone on their customer service number. ...on here have bought from babies247.com and only afterwards did a google search to read their reviews? More fool you, I'm afraid. The local newspaper has reported that the store has temporarily closed its doors, but the owner did not say why specifically other than they plan to reopen within days. I too purchased items with this company, but decided almost immediately but unfortunately after payment to cancel my order. I ordered an East Coast Combination Highchair on the 30th Sept, they took the money from my credit card immediately, got a nice confirmation e-mail saying it will be dispatched within 24 hrs and delivered within 7 days. Checked the status on the website every day since and remained as "pending". Sent an e-mail to the company, no response, called the phone number (numerous times!) -no answer. Please, Please, Please do not ever use this company. My partner and I ordered a Mamas and Papas Nursey Set and Mattress on the 7th August. We like everyone else were offered 48hr delivery. It is now 27th November and after numerous e-mails and unanswered phone calls we have just got our money back.. We are having similar problems to the rest of the many posts here having ordered a travel system from Babies247. Normally I would not do anything about this other than get my money back one way or another. I completely agree, AVOID this company at all costs. I ordered a baby activity centre in August and they sent me email after email telling me my order would be with me within 10 to 14 days meanwhile they took payment. In the end I cancelled the order but am still waiting for my refund. I cannot get through by telephone and they will not respond to emails. Unlike the previous poster I used a debit card and do not know if i will see my money again, AVOID!!

This company has now been "suspended". We are still waiting for a refund for goods ordered 4 months ago and after numerous letter and even a solicitors letter they have informed us they are unable to give us a refund and we must ask our credit card company for a "charge back" Totally disgusting - never seen/experienced a company like this one - stay well clear.

ANOTHER BAD EXPERIENCE!!!! No communication as to stock. Cancelled order on the 15th.August as they did not fulfill their promise to inform me that the item was not in stock. After 30 I days did not receive the promised refund, and finally, after placing the matter in the hands of my credit card company,received my refund 2 months later on the 15th.November. It seems they make a habit of this practise, definitely would never use babies247 again.

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! I placed an order on 6th October 2008, for a car seat. Babies 247 dedited my account instantly. My order didn't arrive. A week later I had to email them to find out what was going on. I was told the item was out of stock but would be in in ten days. Fifteen days later: no email and no car seat.
