I came across bearshare while trying to locate other alternatives for napster. I downloaded from www.download.cnet.com where there are a number of alternatives listed. The programme is easy to download (1.5mb) and install/setup. It does give a wider choice of download sites and in many cases actually shows which country the user you're downloading from is by showing a flag next to the nickname. I see it more as an limewire alternative, if not better. Its faster, contains more verity of content, and has audio files of higher quality. The client is too better than limewire where the number of searches at a time are limited. Its navigation is too better The only downside (that too in the client) is that you cant review you downloads while the the files are being downloaded (since the incomplete files fail to play in media players) on the other hand Limewire has a dedicated player. Another major problem is that, you might encounter lots of viruses, i even found one in an audio file. ...
