    I am glad to see that other people share my opinion of Benson's World. Although not the largest online retailer, and certainly not the flashiest website, Benson's World offers good service, and keen prices. Benson's World have recently redesigned their website and many of the design problems with the original site have been sorted out. The design of the site should not be seen to be the most important factor when ordering from a site online, those being (for most people anyway) selection, price, reliability and trust.     To be honest I had never heard of Benson world until I joined an affiliate programme. The company offer up to 40% off DVD’s and Videos. But do they hold to that promise? Well I will tell you what I have ordered and what I have saved in comparison to other sites offering the same goods. I recently ordered One DVD (Charlie’s angels TV series) and one video (Lily Savage Live) from Benson world. At Benson world the total cost was £29.44 for both items. Delivery is free.     I run a web site in my spare time (more on that later) and, through that, I have come across a number of online shops. It still amazes me that some of the more common names in the real world have not grasped the concept and requirements of a decent web site. WH Smiths springs to mind straight away as their site is often slow and unwieldy but enough about them. Bensonsworld is a very well run site, it loads fast and has as wide a selection as most of the other online stores.     History Benson’s world is one of the longest establishment mail order companies within the UK, and part of Mr Benson’s world of entertainment. Established in 1980 as a video rental shop.     I only discovered Bensonsworld about 18 months ago, and have frequently ordered from them since. The website is simple and contains a lot of information, normally a description, a picture, the price of course and some in depth technical information, which often lists the studio who produce the DVD which is quite good if you find a niche subject that you are interested and find a particular studio that produce this.     Over the last year, Bensonsworld in the UK has proven to be one of THE most reliable online DVD retailers. Great selection, fair prices, super-friendly with top notch customer service. they answer your e-mails quickly and delivery is super fast and as always, it's free! The European R2 Universal Classic Monsters DVD's hit the street yesterday and sure enough, I got home from work today and my disc's were waiting for me! Never a problem with these guys, ever!     Bensons is the place where I buy my DVDs (and occasionally videos too), and the reasons for this is that they are well priced, fast, and customer service is good too. There's none of this "we won't replace this DVD because it won't play on your player nonsense" that other e-retailers get up to. One thing that Bensons has been doing, which might have escaped everyone's notice, is a couple of free DVD promotions. In early August, they gave away a DVD movie completely for free - no P&P, no obligation to buy. Mine arrived within about 7 days. They did a similar sought of thing in September, though ... more

    Well, it sounds like Bensons beds?!?! This is a fairly new site based in London offering cheaper Videos and DVD's (obviously, or it would be under something else!) It has a really easy going look to it, and has a very good search facility which includes Title, Star or Director, so you can find that vid/dvd which you've been searching for. Although you would probably go to another well known site to do this, (ie. Amazon) you might like to see if they have it here as they don't charge P&P, which in itself is pretty darn good!!!     Weeks later Im still waiting for my order, customer services are lousy, no answers Emails, no one picks up the phone, ever!! I for one will not be ordering again and if my order doesnt arrive soon, they can well expect legal action!

    Possibly the second best e-retailer of videos and DVDs after Blackstar. I have purchased some comedy videos from them, which arrived very quickly, and in perfect condition. Good communication channels via email. The site design (as was) is not very professional looking - compared to Blackstar's - and yet a simple site would suggest fast download times. Unfortunately, Bensons are currently upgrading their online store at the moment. They claim to be making it even faster - which suggests that they respond to feedback - and to have the site back up by 4th December. This will hit them hard, I ... more
