I tried twice to through BidPay to pay for an item I won on Ebay, and both times these idiots managed to place the funds on hold at my bank and then denied my order for reasons they would not disclose. All they would say was that "some information did not match up." To top it off, it took them over a day just to approve/deny the purchase. Disadvantages: Annoying site and inconsistant service

I frequently use a site called Furbid (Anthropomorphic, Sci-Fi and Fantasy Auctions) and while BidPay seems to present the ideal solution for sending money orders to the USA - in my experience, it's the only service filling this niche - it causes me nothing but problems. Disadvantages: no consumer-protection if you pay through bidpay

it has no payer-protection at all! If you want to pay your ebay stuff, don't use bidpay because the seller can run away with your money and never deliver your auctioned item. This happened to me, and bidpay doesn't do anything against this kind of fraud except they comes back to you to collect your money anyway. Do not think this is the way of doing business. Disadvantages: not available to sellers in all countries yet; no money orders.

the new bidpay is back and works well. I added it and seem to see more bids and higher sales prices. its nice to have a capable alternative to paypal. its cheaper too. bidpay doesn't do money orders any more though. we'll miss that, but its easier and faster to just have it settle to our bank account anyway. unless you're in the super high echelon of monthly sales its cheaper than paypal. we used their customer service - the prior reviewer ... Overall, I really appreciate having Bid-Pay available as an option to make payments.Apparently, however, regardless of amount, a money order is $5.00 (US). If I were to get a money order at my bank - a free service, I only pay postage. If I were to go to the corner convenience store, or the post office itself, but a money order and a stamp, I might pay a little over $1.
