    Time for a re-write methinks. It's rare for me to come back and update an op so long after me originally writing it. This particular one was written on October 19th, 2001. I've left bits of the original review I wrote so that it can still be deamed "useful", i.e. so it still contains the bits of information that you'd need to know as regards whether you want to join bigrag.com or not.     Sorry there was supposed to be a questions mark at the end of that title, but ciao won’t let me. Anyway on with my latest way to earn a few bob on the net, now ciao has gone so downhill. I first heard about bigrag from another ciao opinion. Basically it is another opinion site, in that you write an op, post it on their site and get paid for it. The site is aimed purely at students, especially University level. I have no problem, in fact some of the things are a bit older for me, but the categories are put to be in tune with the students.     Most of us are always on the lookout for any moneymaking opportunities online we can find. Another that you may or may not have heard of is www.bigrag.com. THE SITE ¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~ First appearances you will see that this differs greatly from the likes of ciao or dooyoo. In fact it is yet another student orientated site but again you do not need to be one in order to publish your reviews here.     That's right ladies and gentlemen, another opinion site to fill your coffers with lots of extra money! I write on three opinion sites, Ciao and Dooyoo are probably familiar to you all. The third one is perhaps not quite so well known and that is BIGRAG! This site is very student orientated, but don't let that put you off. Anybody can write opinions for Bigrag and get paid in the process. Of all the sites that I write for, I guess I spend the least amount of time on Bigrag.     Ahh bless him!! I have had to write an opinion on Bigrag.com. As Dan – who appears to run the show single handedly is a little sweetie!! I was first made aware of Bigrag on the ‘grope’ (for the uninitiated Yahoo Groups CiaoUK) someone had posted a comment saying words to the effect of ‘take a look’ so I did. www.bigrag.com is easy to register with, and many fellow Ciao members are there already! I have used the same username so you can find me easily if you want to. It is a site aimed at students so it can be quite hard to write for if you’re an old timer ... more

    How do you fancy getting yourself £2 per opinion? Regardless of read levels, community status or mysterious monthly handouts? Well, if you don't mind signing up to another opinionating website, then you can do just this. The site in question is one I discovered just over a year ago as the result of a review here on ciao - it is not as well known as rivals such as this site, dooyoo and u-rate-it, but it is certainly worth a look at to earn yourself some extra cash for your writing.     Over the last few months I’ve had a few emails from “rival” sites asking me to come and write for them too. I’m not sure whether Big Rag was one of these, but somehow I ended up over there last week. When I tried to register it said that my desired user name (the ever present zoepage) had been taken. On a whim I decided to log into the registered users area using that and my generic password, and sure enough it let me.     Big Rag is a relative newcomer to the "Opinionated" community, and unlike Ciao and Dooyoo is aimed at a more specific audience, in this case, students. This doesn't, however debar an old-stager like me from making contributions there, but it does limit me to only lodging opinions that will be of interest to the student population - Dysons are "out", mp3 players are "in". Predictably, the subject matter errs heavily on the side of career advice, travel, going out, entertainment in general and some "hardware" areas like computing and hi-fi.     Advantages Advantages Bigrag offers a comprehenive service with excellent pay, £2.00 per review is up for grabs for those of you willing to put in the effort. Pictures and links make reviews more interesting.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Far less community based than ciao or dooyoo, little or no interaction is made with other members, no competitions or premium fund type events, just a standard pay per review.

    A majestic and somewhat regal site, a site where the pay is good, and the service is A-Class. A cut above the rest, a triumph in consumer reviewing. This is BIGRAG.COM.
