Blackstar, or now know as sendit.com, is the best for DVD's.
Its customer support is the best that I've seen and I have order from these alot and that they can be beaten in price, but not in customer support.
There products are always up to date, and that the information they provide is good. The way that you are able to make a "wish list" is the best, as I shop that much on the net, I always forget what I want.
The interface of the site is good, ... ...navigate around easy, and for security, good. I have never had any problems with this, and that you can track your orders excellently.
The delivery is excellent, as they send then first class and that its free posting and packaging. Most times when I’ve ordered, they send it with 24-48hrs later.

I first came across this site way back in the dark dark ages of the 20th Century somewhere in the region of 1998/99.
I was desperately trying to find a video that had become obsolete in the UK and I was often seen in pawn shops or video shops looking through their old video selections trying to find it. For those interested the film is called “Streets of Fire” and I will do a review on this as soon as I get some time.
I was getting ... ...searches on the title for the results to only tell me that you could only get this on US format VHS or on DVD. There is something about getting an original film on VHS so I persisted on trying to find it in this format.

Their triple packs are especially good value for money- get three videotapes, usually featuring the same actor, for less than £20 including postage. I have been using Blackstar for nearly a year now and it is absolutely fantastic. Why, well let's take a look shall we…….
The homepage explodes onto your screen with colour galore, showing DVD promotional pictures left, right and centre.On the left of the homepage is a list of their current special offers and this contains both old and new films for you to chose a a bargain price. In the centre is another list of films (not quite so cheap) and this ... ...videos that you may have forgotten all about. Below it is a few Playstaion games and accessories. To the right is the Blackstar chart, listing some of the most popular viewing items.
There is a basic search engine available on the homepage, which is usually adequate to find what you are looking for, if not there is a better search facility using the explore button at the top.

I have used Blackstar for several years and have experienced some of the best customer service from any shop online or real. The website is excellent and easy to use and deliveries are prompt and efficient.
If things go wrong, which they rarely do, there's never any argument - goods are replaced or refunds given if necessary.
My only quibble is that I preferred the old pricing system where they gave you a price including postage and packing so ...

I have been using Blackstar for over 18 months and I find it to be one of the best sites online for purchasing DVDs and videos. Once you have registered your details to this site and confirmed that they are correct, if you have entered your credit card details to Blackstar, on future visits you only need to select the item that you wish to buy, add it to the cart, then place your user and password in a box and hit submit - It is that easy to order. ... ...the items and offered free postage, now the items are cheaper still but when I see the postage cost it is a little off-putting - This has not stopped me from ordering though. I use this site regualarly and they offer a gift wrapping service with a tag hand written so all you need to do when the parcel arrives is open it and send/give it to the intended receiver. Postage is usually within 48 hours to Scotland with at least 2 confirmation Emails to ...

This is a great site for buying DVD's and videos. I first heard of them when looking on the dooyoo rewards page.
On the homepage, you are greeted by a very colourful homepage, of flashing banners and titles like we recommend which are films recommended by the website, mostly new releases. They also have offers on usually, at the moment some DVD's are only £3.99 and videos £6.99, quite a bargain obviously not brand new titles. There is heading out ... ...on the site. Coming soon pretty much explains itself with all new titles coming soon, and if you preorder them you can get quite a bit off than you would if you bought it from the site on the day of release. If you are wanting a DVD but are not sure on what to get you may want to look at the pre-order, dvd or VHS charts which will give you a list of popular choices on these sections. Blackstar gift vouchers start from £5 and go up in £5 after this. ...

It was originally done to sell VHS online, but times are changing and DVD is getting the big part of the video pie. Blackstar is one of famoust online stores. I'm buying at blackstar from 1998. So I'm sure I can argue why I'm still buying there. DVD's ----- You can find almost every dvd that is relased on the european market. There's is an interesting option ... ...to buy when it's still a pre-relase. You can archieve a 10% discount that helps to reduce the non-cheap costs of shipping. Sometimes they have special discounts for items that are at the top of the charts. VHS --- Dvd it's something that is conquering the market, but anyway there's a lot of vhs stuff to be sold. They have great offers on low-priced vhs. You can also buy new relases (when other stores refuses to sell vhs 'cos they earn less money ...

Well, what can I say? I love Blackstar! Simple as that! The reason? Well it all started about a year ago when my boyfriend decided that he needed (yes 'needed') the new video box set of Star Trek's seven of nine (for him to drool over I think!) and it was only a few days before xmas. Unfortunately I didn't have time to got out and get it as I had to attend a funeral so I was left with only one alternative - the internet. After browsing a few shops ... ...webpage or unable to deliver before xmas - I happened to stumble upon Blackstar. The page was simply laid out, not too fussy, and easy to navigate, they had the item that I wanted and after ordering it at 10am one morning, imagine my shock and amazement that when I went downstairs the following morning to pick up the post there was my video! Black Star is not a bad site, in fact it is a very good one. It's slick, easy to navigate, full of information - possibly more than you need and is an excellent search tool for all your video and DVD needs. The problem with Black Star is the most important factor of all, Price! In terms of price it is cheaper by some considerable distance to buy your video's on the high street. For example Final Destination on VHS at Blackstar will cost you a total ... ...£2. Gladiator costs £17.99 at Blackstar and at HMV costs £13.99 as well. When you take into the account the special offers you receive at HMV and Virgin like three videos for £20, then shopping at Blackstar is not a very viable option. I think Blackstar have moved more towards the DVD market which is fair enough, as DVD's are going to take over before too long. But for now Blackstar is too expensive for the VHS market. ...

I am an avid fan of Star Trek Next Generation. I only really got into it about 2 years ago when a friend lent me some videos. Once I'd watched a few I was hooked and was delighted to hear that Paramount were re-releasing all the Next Generation episodes on Video. There are 8 videos per season and there were seven seasons. I have bought every single one and I have just completed season 4. Why, I hear you ask am I telling you this?? Well I'd say 90% ... ...I will not buy from anyone else.
As these videos are being re-released shops such as WH Smiths and Woolworths, were I used to buy my videos, only get 1 or 2 copies and as Trekkies are quite fanatical by about noon on release day these copies would already have gone. I am a bit sad in respects of I know the exact release date of every video and I look forward to aquiring my next one on said date. Unfortunatley shopping in the High Street frequently ...

There is one thing that really upsets me, when they let a good thing crumble and waste.
I had been using Blackstar for an age (well in internet shopping years it is), it must be well over 2 years now. I was a loyal and regular shopper, I found it great for Christmas and gift shopping. I have spend many a hard earned penny on there site on both goodies for me and gifts for others.
My addiction with the site started when i became a crazed Buffy fan ... ...to come by in most conventional video shops, you could trust Blackstar to have them in stock and much cheaper then elsewhere too.
20% discounts off pre-orders was a fantastic idea, which i used quite frequently.
However, things have started to turn and i feel they are getting a little greedy.
In march I ordered a copy of Deep Rising on VHS for a gift, it wasn't in stock so they said it would be ship as soon as they had more. Well i have to say ...
