I needed a new oven and so loked as several websites - Comet advertised that they offered FREE delivery and installation on their NEFF ovens, so i purchased this item from them for this reason. I completed the order from and arrange 1 days leave from work. On delivery they informed me that they were not aware there was an installation. I called Comet Customer Sevices office and was advised that they were fully booked and I had to wait a further TWO ...

beko washing machine was a sensible buy but in my opinion dont just take the word of the sales staff. my machine gets a lot of use as we are a family of five so when my machine went wrong the engineer stated hes not surprised as with the amont of washing i do i had already halved the lifetime of the machine, so much for the sales persons advice. My problem was getting the repair man out in the first place, it states on the web site within 3 days ...

Similar to the other reviews, comet has very bad aftercare for laptops, bought a nc10 netbook a couple of days ago, never worked properly, wireless card is faulty, lots of stuff about this on the net, not much good as a netbook! if i can't connect to the net. COMET are sharks, you have more rights if you buy from the internet, normally a 7 day return, but comet is a 0 day return, not interested, passed it on to the manufacture. this can't be right ...

i bought a brand new £600+ Acer laptop from comet around about 8 months ago, and ill tell you now it has been the worst Laptop i have ever had, within the first month the fan went, which under the 28 days return policy should of been replaced however comet insisted it had to be returned, so off it went to be repaired, anyway 2 months later the hard drive dismounted blue screen non reponces again it went back fro repair, 4 months down the line again ...

An item (Logitech VX revolution mouse), was ordered on Thursday. It was supposed to arrive on Monday, nothing happened. I send Comet an email in the evening, so they called on Tuesday (next day after scheduled delivery date) saying this product (which was in stock when I ordered and I got all the after-order emails from them) is discontinued by manufacturer. I can't find anywhere that it is, both Logitech and Amazon are selling this mouse as usual. ...

OK, so I'll start with saying I have had good experiences with Click and Collect. You sometimes get a better price than just going to the store, and the stock should be in stock. However the last few times I've used it, the store has not had the stock in store and I've had to travel 30 miles out of my way to collect from another shop. The last time I did it, I was told that the store doesn't reserve the click and collect stock because there was no ...
...could charge more in the store. In my opinion you can't rely on this if you're in a hurry. You might be able to save a few quid with Comet, but after you've wasted half your day and had to drive back and forth to make the purchase, is it really worth it? I may use this service again if there's a huge saving to be made and I've not got much on that day, but otherwise I'll avoid this like Swine Flu! ...

Comet in general - I reserved online the day before collection - and still got the WRONG product - which of course they wouldn't come out to replace. I had to take the product back yourself - the option was given to replace the product, but as after sales service was so bad, I simply returned it. My experience of Comet follow up/aftercare is bad bad bad =( They sold me a washimg machine knowing that it had a manufacturing defect, made me sit at home waiting for them to arrive to fix the faulty parts...no one turned up and the 'engineer' (hahahaha) told blatant lies by reporting I had not been at home when he called, when I had. They then didnt turn up to the next time we made...in all it took over a month to sort out and then when I complained they did nothing about it. Comet aftersales are sh*te and wouldnt send my dog there for anything, even if he was desperate. Spend your mony somewhere else...one star is being very very generous ...

Bought a 'Tom Tom One' from Comet as a gift for a friend. She already had one so took it back the next week completely unused and in mint condition. Their website has a guarantee that they will give full refund. Despite emails and telephone calls to customer services they flatly refuse to take it back. They've told me the matter is closed and it is up to me to take legal action if still dissatisfied. I think they are about to go under and can't afford the refund. I'd recommend not spending any money you can't afford to lose outright. Their stores are persistently empty and I suspect they will be the next casualties of the credit crunch. ...

I recently used Comet.co.uk to buy 3 large kitchen appliances (fridge, freezer and tumble dryer) and also took advantage of their multisave offer online. I only saved about £30 (plus free delivery) by using that, and to be truthful I would have liked to have saved a little more by taking the time to multisae, waqit for an email reply, call them up and be offered a price. I guess if I was good at haggling I could perhaps have got a touch more off ...

This review is just about the delivery service, which was excellent. We ordered a freezer on Saturday and chose the 2pm-6pm slot for the next day (Sunday). They phoned us just before 2pm to say they were on the way, and should be arriving within the hour. They arrived at 2:30pm.
