    ~*~*~*~*~*~*UPDATE~*~*~*~*~*~* Since this opinion, we have ceased buying any stock from Dabs at all, this is mostly because we now have a shop and decent trade suppliers but it also has something to do with the fact that the bigger the company have become, the worse the customer service has become. The last thing we purchased from Dabs was a HP Colour Laser printer as part of a system for one of our business customers. Dabs was the only place we could source this particular printer and it cost around about £450.00. The printer arrived ok and we delivered it to the customer with no problems ... more

In fact, its not just solely a PC supplier. It also sells TV`s,DVD, Stereos and Mobile phones too. You name it they have it. All arranged into the relevant product sections such as scanners, Mass Data Storage, Memory and Processors.     Dabs.com is basically a mail order firm that has embraced the technological marvel that is the Internet and has adapted its business so that it is now entirely online. What this means for you is that the company is already well established, and is fundamentally much more sound than a new fly by night internet company set up to make a fast buck. So, when you order you have the extra peace of mind knowing that this company has been delivering to people for a long time, and so are far less likely to mess up or lose your order.     On the pure strength of other reviews and an intense desire to spend vast quantities of cash I visited Dabs.com. I was searching for a particular product, a Microsoft optical mouse thanks to a particularly bad mouse which seemed to be possessed by a kangaroo (i.e. it jumped across the screen). To a novice Internet user this site is particularly overwhelming, I do a lot of work involving the Internet and even I found this web page hard to navigate at first.     I recently visited dabs.com to order Paint Shop Pro 7 after reading the reviews on Ciao. I preferred it to the Jasc website as I was given a competitive price in pounds sterling rather than US dollars which would have been subject to the exchange rate. As with all websites I have used to purchase things, you first need to set up an account with dabs.com. I was happy to do so, except that part of the process was to set up a method of payment.     With a recent hard disk problem rendering my computer useless, I went in search of a new disk on the web, and a recent advert in PC World led me to visiting dabs.com. On first impression, the website appeared very cluttered, although after finding a hardware search engine, I was presented with a clear and concise list of hard disks available, ready for dispatch, in stock. The manufacturers' names and models are clearly displayed, along with the necessary information, such as the capacity and the interface (connector), which connects the hard disk to the motherboard.     Until I found DABS.com the only place i really shopped on the internet for computer goods was jungle.com - little did I know what I was missing out on! ~THE SITE~ The site itself is quite basic , which means it is easy to navigate. The front page usually contains a few special offers, and links to all other sections of the site. ~FEATURES~ The key feature of dabs.com is delivery and prices.     Ok it's nothing new, e-shopping. But when Dabs.com really make it worthwhile, you kind of realise that is wasn't such a bad invention in the first place. The theory of all such websites is that you search among thousands of products to find the one that you want, choose a way to buy them, and then they turn up on your door the next day. But realistically most web sites that you can buy products from just dont work like that. The usual outcome is that you spend ages looking for you want because the search engine just wont find it for you, and then you cant decide what colour, model ,or design ... more

    To start with, I want to say that my past experience of Dabs has been positive in that the information provided has been correct, the despatch has been prompt and problems dealt with adequately. Unfortunately, this is not how many companies operate and, therefore, Dabs has seemed to stand out from the crowd. However, my latest experience with Dabs is the worst I have had with any company ever, online or not.     I wanted to buy a digital photo frame for my partner and since I'd heard of DABS before (I used to work for a hardware reseller) ,and the price was very keen, I thought I'd give it a try. That was my first mistake and one I won't make again, not with DABS anyway. I ordered my frame and checked out, adding a delivery address so that it would come to work rather than home. My second mistake was not fully checking the confirmation email which they'd sent and I only realised that the delivery address had not saved against the order when the invoice email came.
