Advantages Advantages A very well planned inexpensive program

Disadvantages Disadvantages You still have to follow it

(Ciao has it wrong. It's co.uk) (My membership is finished now, and I have lost 15lbs. The loss did slow down, but I got there in the end. I can honestly say I was never hungry on this diet. Greedy, yes; hungry, no.I went out to dinner several times, and ate whatever I fancied, though it only happened once a week. I can get easily into all my size 14 clothes now, and a few 12s. Ideally, I'd like to shed another 4-5 pounds, but I can take my time. I have all the diet printouts, and can just repeat them. I'm not worried about losing any more, as I look quite good. No-one would say I'm super-slim ... more

Advantages Advantages A very convenient plan, with online support

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Too much soya!

Ok, the title may be a little optimistic as I have only been a member of eDiets for two and a half weeks, but you have to think positive! I joined eDiets after I received an email through iVillage, who seem to be some sort of partner to eDiets. I was offered a free weight analysis, and after being told for free that I was overweight (this much I knew!) I was offered a trial period working out at £3 per week (though I believe this was a special offer). This is much cheaper than other slimming clubs I have joined so it seemed worth a shot. When you start, you enter various details about how you ... more

Advantages Advantages so many diets to suit everyone!!

Disadvantages Disadvantages which one to choose????????

After always having a problem with my weight and always being unhappy, I decided to do something about it so I joined ediets as they were doing a promotion that you got 1000 tesco clubcard points when you joined (which is £10 off your shopping). It was very easy to set up a membership and from only £3 a week good value as well. The website is really easy to use and there are charts and graphs to show you the progress of your diet after you weigh in each week. There is also 24hours online help if you need it, and at each weekly weigh in they give you the opportunity to write comments on how you ... more

Advantages Advantages easy , get the body you want

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

If like me you have tried every fad diet under the sun and still had no joy with the weight loss you start to think why bother.. Thats exactly what i did "why bother?" I looked everywhere weight watchers . slimming world , rosemary's GI diet and every other plan going but couldn't seem to stick to a plan or rather the plans bored me.. I don't have the time with a young baby to sit there and weigh this and weigh that to make a meal for the family. I needed a plan that fitted in with family mealtimes..Thats exactly what i found with tesco ediets.. They are great you get the option to join up for ... more

    1 Star Quick review of eDiets.co.uk by hackett4 03/07/2007
Totals plan. Via Tesco Diets/ which is same thing. In ten weeks lost no weight. List of foods and points was vague and inconsistent, Mailed them numerous times with their wrong calorific values. Very little tesco foods on it. nutritionalist advice monotonous and not personally tailored. Now with Mirrorslimming.co.uk Easier to use and cheaper. Also more useful tools. I would not advise the Tesco/eDiet plan as they also give you totals and calorie value. Even if under calorie value e.g. 1000 calories in a day, can be over points. they could not explain this.

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, friendly encouragement,

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Committment is required

I came across ediets some time ago, it is well over a year since I left them. I was introduced to them through Tescoes who were giving out a special offer on membership. The site is one that automatically debits your account to renew your membership unless it is cancelled. The cost was about £3 per week at the time but you have to pay extra for various other services, there are different price plans for the various diets. The site is easy to use. You tell them your weight, the amount of exercise you can do each week and then choose a diet plan to suit your needs, prepared food, instant, meat ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to follow, choice of diet plans, value for money

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none in general

i'm doing e-diets totals plan, which is based on points, each food has a points value. i've been on it for 4 weeks and have lost 20lbs, i have found it quiet easy to stick to so far i do find it quiet difficult to have my daliy allowance (points) which is ok because you can save unused points for the weekend or a special occassion, i love the nutrition totaler which basicly tells you how many points is in what you eat, you can add new foods if it's not on their list it also tells you how much fats, salts, proteins, carbs etc it's a bit like a food diary. there's also a weekly weigh-in where ... more

    Advantages Advantages None

    Disadvantages Disadvantages awful customer service

Dreadfull customer service!!! BEWARE of getting snared in their ts&cs - paid £29.90 for a 10 week subscription and I was clear that like most companies they operate a policy of not giving a refund if cancelling within the minimum sign up period. What I did not realise though was that they automatically renew the service after the initial period unless you contact them to cancel. Didn't find this out until £13.95 was taken from my account, anyway contacted them straight away (3 days after initial subscription had expired) and didn't think it would be a problem - like any reasonable company they ... more
