I don't normally write reviews, but this company needs writing about. If you want the detail of my experience then read on, however I'm really echoing the comments of others here, i.e. STEER CLEAR OF ECLIPSE-COMPUTERS ! I went to buy (3 days ago) a pair of 500gb WD HDDs from Eclipse Computers, I created an account, filled in my address in the "Your Details" section of the website, and proceeded to place the order with "Next Day" delivery, I was asked for the cardholder details on the "Your Details (Cardholders details only)" page - which I filled in (A different address to the postal address). I recently (06.02.09) oredered a pair of gaming headphones from eclipse and can say that i was over the moon with the service i received ;-)) The item i ordered was not available so they sent me an email asking me to phone them and discuss if there was an alternative product i would like !!! Do not use this company online! I have used eclipse many times going to there store in Coventry with no problems. I did however use there online shop to order In Stock Items and paid extra for express delivery , a week after I ordered nothing had arrived so I called. Recently ordered headset from eclipse computers. Paid for next day delivery. Item did not arrive. I phoned them to cancel the order. Turns out that the item was not even in stock, but they had taken the money from my account. After approx 6 e-mails, and 4 phone call, and being kept on hold for about 15 mins each time. Disadvantages: none stock item, poor communications, untrained telephone ops.

Ordered a Epson Printer on The 14th of the month, The printer was shown as normally in stock. When the printer failed to turn up 2 weeks later i emailed Eclipse, after waiting 7 days for a reply i decided to telephone them. Took over 10 minutes to get through only to be told by a rather disinterested opperative that the printer was out of stock but on order, they could not give a date when they would have it in stock. POOR AT BEST. I ordered some items over 2 weeks ago and i'm still waiting,after a few calls where I have to wait from 5-14 mins I'm told some items are in stock only to be told by another operator that the same items are on order, their web page says 2-3 days HA!!! what a joke of a company, In this current financial climate I would almost bet a kidney that this company will go under soon, so I've grabbed what i can and cancelled the rest, (however they stike me as a company that will try and process the order) If this was e-bay I WOULD SAY A POOR E-BAYER STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS ONE,NOT TO DEAL WITH!!!!!

Disadvantages: unit clearly sold, returned/restocked and sold again to customer as new

Don't buy if you have to have goods delivered to card holders address and you are at work as Parcelforce will only accept the cardholders signature. I ordered two CD/DVD external cases to house my DVd writers. The order took a week and I had to collect 11 mile round trip and driver not back so had to go again back at the weekend. Same story as the rest I guess. Ordered 3 items 'Normally in Stock' and still waiting a month later without any contact from Eclipse and NO reply to my emails. I can accept delays if they are well apologetically communicated, giving the customer the option to cancel if the delay is beyond a companies control, but just ignoring people is not the way to conduct modern business. I wonder when they talk about 'Normally in Stock' they are actually mean Normally in stock on Amazon?...who will continue to receive my business from now on. Prices too good to be true? You bet your life they are....

Absolutely useless... and getting close to being guilty of misrepresentation. I ordered a hard drive from them on December 7th. Supposedly in stock. They charged my card on the 8th. So far nothing. Emails ignored; phone calls put on "Hold." Very lucrative for them; seeing as the ones they tout on their website, and confirmatory email for the order are 08707 numbers, and cost up to 6p/min... and Eclipse profit from the calls... not the provider; ... Appalling. They might be cheap. They might get good reviews every now and then but you'll pay in the end. My system had a fault from the start - erratic boots, failure to accept new software etc. I tried to reinstall Windows several times on their recommendation - no joy. Returned it (at my expense -£25) Waited 3 weeks for diagnosis (and had to phone them to get it) Their graphics card found to be the cause Told to wait 28 days while they find a replacement (Had to phone them to be told this) Joined a site like this for the first in my life to vent my spleen and hopefully put a couple of people off doing what I've done. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Do not deal with this shower of cowboys. Take your money at order, not dispatch, sell you next day delivery on item that they have not got in stock (Without telling you there is no stock), charge you for ringing them via their number, do not communicate at all, long phone waits, no email replies, I have never had such poor service and I hope they go BUST very soon. They just don`t seem to care. Tony
