    Here are some telling facts with regard to Eclipse Computers' processing of my order. You may like to use these to decide if buying from them is a good idea: I bought 300 C-Shell DVD/CD storage cases from Eclipse Computers http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.​aspx?code=MD-CSHELLC-10 They processed my order online despite not having the product in stock, a fact that was not communicated to me either at point of sale or via email later.     I went to buy (3 days ago) a pair of 500gb WD HDDs from Eclipse Computers, I created an account, filled in my address in the "Your Details" section of the website, and proceeded to place the order with "Next Day" delivery, I was asked for the cardholder details on the "Your Details (Cardholders details only)" page - which I filled in (A different address to the postal address). Finished the order using a credit card. The "Next Day" (about 24 hours later) I recieved an email notifying me that there was a "Problem while processing your order".     I recently made a web based purchase from Eclipse Computers Coventry, and they have given me nothing but porky pies, promises, and half arsed answers to my questions. I orderd nearly 300 quids worth of components 10 days ago, and opted for the next day delivery service, and from what i was told the first time, all components were stocked and ready to be shipped. So now, 5 emails later ( 1 replied to ) 4 telephone calls ( they called me ), the first email i sent them was regarding there shoddy confirmation of my order received, which i think ALL firms should do to re-assure customers.     It is a shame that places like this dont make the effort to be a little bit better, as a local resident of Coventry I thought this shop would be ideal to use but no all you get is hastle. I have used this shop twice online and both times things have gone wrong. First order was quite substantial, consisting of motherboard, cpu memory DVD writer Case Hard Drive Graphics Card Floppy drive All things needed to make a decent computer.     ...is i live in the same town. And even then as a last resort. Get the picture?! Ok, ok, you want reasons: 1) No support, even if you turn up in person! 2)They GLUE IN components, for "warranty purposes" you're more likely to break the components than remove them for upgrade. 3) A little story: My friend bought an Athlon XP2000+ system. It died after a few days. Being a computer enthusiast (ok, nerd!), i knew what he problem was (incompatible metal housed graphics card GF MX440 not accepting proper voltage from motherboard.)     Ordered a custom built Platinum Series gaming PC, components selected via their impressive on-line interface. I was happy with my selection and the price, but soon I realised that there was a problem. They say that 3 days should be allowed for building, testing and delivery of custom built systems. Ha!.....13 days later I decided to call up and ask why my machine hasn't been delivered.     ... Seeing as how their reviews have been so poor over the last few years yet I would class it as one of the best computer part retailers I've used online. Prices I tend to compare products between ebay, ebuyer and eclipse as they are usually the lowest for the parts that I have been after, most recentley a second XFX 8800 GTX. The price for the graphics card was the cheapest I could find for new including delivery at less than £5 for 2-3 days with Parcelforce.     ...but I can't. They are actually a ranch. My experience echoes many, though I was a little more fortunate as I managed to get a full refund. If anything it'll teach me to read consumer reviews before committing to buying. I ordered a custom built PC from eclipse-computers after searching the cheaper end of the market for the components I wanted.     I last visited Eclipse Computers a couple of months back yet what I wanted sadly wasn't in stock. My first visit to Eclipse was about 3 years ago, I think. I was doing a huge surfing session trying to find a cheap unbranded MP3 player for trips to work. I was totally broke at the time and had next to no cash - so I was looking for REALLY cheap unbranded MP3 players here haha!     I unfortunately bought a Digital TV picture frame from this company. It turned up within a few days and I immediately unwrapped and tested and found it not working properly - It could not receive channels even on my main aeriel which receives digital channels perfectly. This frame did not even pick up 1 not a single one - even on the weakest of aeriels you normally get a sniff of a radio station. I tried playing the in built games and the picture was fuzzy and jumping as if there was a power fault inside.
