    Yes, I am a typical Scot in many ways. I wouldn’t consider myself mean but I am certainly careful with money and if I can save a few pounds then I will. Insurance is one item of expenditure that I really hate forking out for. Why? Because I very rarely claim for anything. I have been driving now for more years than I wasn’t driving.     DON’T GET EVEN, GET ESURE ........ www.esure.com esure ® is a new insurance company set up by Peter Wood, the founder of Direct Line. At esure, they believe that better drivers deserve better policies which means bigger rewards with a good driving history. With most insurers the discount stops at 65% for 5 years no claims history but at esure they give 70% and this rises to 75% once you have earned a futher 5 years no claims history.     Disadvantages Disadvantages ... but you can only protect your NCB if you're over 25.

    I'm not a happy bunny today. Why? You may well ask, and I shall tell you a little story to illustrate my despondancy... Once upon a time there lived a little Indiegirl. As soon as she was 17, she decided to learn to drive. She took some lessons and passed her test first time (lucky devil) and bought herself a little car to run around in. She bought some insurance for that car, as she decided to build her own No Claims Bonus up (rather than relying on daddy's insurance).     Without repeating the good things the people in this community have written, I have nothing but good things to say about this company. There's no such thing as 100% perfect which eSure are not but this is not their fault. I have the insurance with eSure which includes the NCD. This is far the cheapest I have been quoted for no previous claims, with 3 points on my license and 5 years no claims. They are the cheapest with all the benefits included with any other company (eg., replacement car whilst yours is being repaired). The staff are extremely polite and willingness to help you.     E-sure - Cheap quotes. I have been with e-sure for 3 years now and as a person who likes to think they are getting the best deal and searchs virtually every well known car insurance company to find the best deal. E-sure have come out on top everytime for me. I drive a 54 plate VW Passatt Estate 2.0s, Myself and my husband are named drivers on the policy and neither of us have had any accidents or claims. We are 29 and 32 and have 8 years no claims bonus. Car is worth approx 9,500. RENEWAL COST FOR 07/08 WAS £320 Bit of a bargain I think. I much prefer to arrange my insurance over the phone ... more

    Like many people I like value for money, so when I had to renew my car insurance I shopped around. ESure were the cheapest by far and as they were not some small here today gome tomorrow company, that's who I chose. If that were the end of the story I would be recommending them highly. The entire process from quote to certificate arriving in the post was wonderful. So wonderful and cheap that I recommended them to my parents. Both of whom had cars.     It's that time of year again when my car insurance is due for renewal. I nearly fell off my chair when the quote from my previous insurer landed on the door mat. £456 they wanted off me to insure my Peugeot 806.And that was with 9 years NCD. That policy was cancelled there and then. After searching around various websited for quotes and coming up with anything from £330 to £400 pounds i was starting to dispondent.     I have been the ripped off by car insurance companies when making a claim. So I NOW READ THE INSURANCE POLICY DOCUMENT. DONT JUST TAKE THE CHEAPEST QUOTE. READ THE POLICY DOCUMENT!!! Extract from esure.com Policy 5. Total loss of your car If the settlement of a claim results in your car being treated as a total loss, we may reduce the claim payment by taking any part of the full premium you owe us. When we have made the full claim payment on this basis, we will have met all our responsibilities to you under your policy and your car will become our property.     I had a burst pipe in my home over three weeks ago. Esure were not helpful on the phone. It has taken three weeks for them to arrange for a company to come to my home to arrange drying of the walls and ceilings, this was following several e mails which were ignored (their policy is not to respond to anything under five days) and I finally had to phone them to chase this up. I am appalled at their lack of care of customers. Having to live in a home with sodden walls and ceiling is no joke. Can't wait for it all to be over then try and find a company who cares for customers - if they exist. Am ... more

    Esure car insurance Avoid this company like the plague. they left me uninsured for over a week! I purchased esure car insurance on 19/06/12. great competitive price. Looked like a real winner. the policy arrived and I sent off my proof of no claims bonus in their prepaid envelope. Last week end off on holiday and returned 22/06/12, to find a letter dated 19/07/12 from esure cancelling my insurance from 13/07/12 (yes a week before they sent me the letter) because I had not replied to a letter they had apparently sent to me, but that i never received.
