    It was only a few days ago that I had to change the start I had made to my LetsBuyIt review because I had heard it was in deep trouble. www.etoys.co.uk is in worse trouble; they’re dead... but they’re not quite gone yet. They still own toys that they need to sell and so from now until the 19th of January everything is discounted by %50. Wow. Okay, so, the obvious point to consider it this: if Etoys is closing so quickly then it must be rubbish, right? Ah, not so... Page Layout ----------- This is a busy page.     Disadvantages Disadvantages I would like to see a flat postage charge

    This month (jan 2001) Etoys.co.uk will close it's doors although Etoys.com will continue to trade. It's a shame as this is by far the best toy site but if you get in quick you can get saving of 75% off in the closing down sale. I purchased quite alot from www.etoys.co.uk on the run up to Christmas and I will go back again. The site is well laid out and you can browse toys by age and gender or by makers. The site also has a good search facility. Delivery is second to none, my orders arrvied within 4 days of ordering (not bad I think for the busy Christmas period) and the postage costs are ... more

    My daughter was two recently and I decided to buy her a Little Tikes Coupe car. On looking for one I came across E-toys and was really impressed with their product base. There are literally stacks of toys which can be browsed at by clicking the product maker or type of toy or even by age group. I found the coupe car easily and was surprised at the many coupes they stocked. I ordered my car and it was delivered promptly 2 days later.     No, I don't get commission but they do get my sincere gratitude for not making me trawl round the shops at Christmas! After thinking I was being organised last Christmas, about 2 weeks before, I received an email from a friend abroad saying that she was trying to track down a certain item for her child. Toys'r'us do not promise a secure site via the internet so she was reluctant to order from them , so........... could I get it for her?!     If you're reading this, then you are already quite a dab-hand at this internet thing! As a parent I have found e-toys a fantastic site to register with. Not only does it stock a huge range of products including children's books, but it is laid out in a very user-friendly format. Toys can be searched for by age range, price, maufacturer or product name. The search engine is easily comprehensible and you can see immediately whether they have the item in stock. They stock all the major names - Tomy, Chicco etc - and give photo's and full descriptions of each product. There is a very reasonable ... more

    I found what I wanted, I couldn't believe the price! When I found eToys amongst the vast array of other online toystores, I expected to find a downside along the way. They seemed too good to be true, the price was far lower than I had found elsewhere and the postage and packing was reasonable, furthermore, even with the cost of p & p my ordered product was still a bargain against high street prices. The downside. There had to be one huh? I was unimpressed that the package was delivered sometime between 7.30-9.30pm in the pouring rain and left on my doostep (which has no porch to protect it) so ... more

    Whilst browsing on the web I found a banner for this site just before Christmas. There is a full range of popular childrens toys on this site ranging from babies and toddlers to young teens. I found this site very easy to use and they even have a wish list for products not in stock also you have to ability to send a list to friends and family so there's no mistaking what to get your child for Christmas or a birthday. After placing my first order the toy which I had purchased for my little boy was with me within four days. Not bad if you don't want to go out in the cold to get that special ... more

    eToys have been around for some time now and continue to offer great prices with continuous 1st class customer service. The site is easy but most importantly fun to browse and you will probably have to stop and buy something that catches your eye. Now Christmas is coming up this has to be the site to buy your Christmas presents for your family and friends. I have been other toys site like toysrus but they all overcomplicate the idea of hassle free e-shopping. Great site, easy to navigate, cheap prices..... what more do you want? ... more

    If I told you that you can search for toys in the comfort of your own home, buy them cheaper than the shops at other toy web sites and have them delivered to you door, would that interest you? Well if it doesn't then you're mad because I a'int going back to the shops thats for sure.......Etoys is brilliant. If you have a problem then you can ring up the free help line! We bought so many things for the kids my wife had forgotten that we had received it, we rang up to ask where it was. The lady was courteous and helpful and did a thorough search before ringing us back. By then we had found the ... more

    Everything that is left is now 75% off. There is a bit of a delay in getting the items to you but they are not going to rip you off. I have ordered stuff in there sale, and have received some of my order. The customer service is also excellent, but they are extremely busy so I wouldn't bug them with "when is my order going to arrive" type questions. Definately a thumbs up company, pitty they are leaving us. If they done something like this before to get people to there site they might still be in business, I know I would have used them again. ... more
