Advantages: so many Disadvantages: sometimes laggy in popular areas, monthly cost a bit high
...detailed review of the game Eve Online and my experience playing it, be prepared for a long read. After playing this game for 6 months I am still nowhere near the level some people are and they, after 4 years, have not got everything in the game. Basically this is an ongoing game that cannot be completed. It has been estimated that if you want to be the best at everything in the game it would take 20years in real time.

Eve is a game that is taken seriously by its players, so much so that companies are created, alliances formed and battle over territory take place. For new people there are even Universities for you to join to get the best out of the game from the start, highly suggested in my opinion.
There are four races to the game of which I have only started one, reason being is you can only train one character per account even though you ...

EVE is one of those games that you will struggle to put down; the game itself grabs you from the outset. The graphics are nothing less than stunning; you don't even need a top end graphics card. The game play itself can be a little hard to grasp, however pick your friends and you will be well on the way to that big payout.

If you played EVE on your own, without ever interacting with the other players, you might as well give up and go play a mining simulation; as with any MMORPG you would be daft if you didn't join a group of people or at the very least try to take on a group of people. Fortunately has the two most common ways of grouping up, both in a temporary group or as a persistent guild or corporation. You can pay tax, own shares, access ...

Advantages: Lot`s of detail and content in the game Disadvantages: will take at least a month to even scratch the surface of game play
I’ve been playing eve for 4 years now, which should give you an idea to how long and how addictive the game can be.
I’ll try and summarise what I think are the important things to know;
Eve is a MMO (massive multiplayer online) game, you chose and play a character that will inhabit a single universe with anywhere between 10 thousand and 50 thousand other players depending on the time of day. These players will be spread over some 5 thousand solar ... ...of the mixed blessings of eve is that CCP (the game developers) allows for a very flexible environment for people to play; Player cons, griefing and espionage take place on a daily biases, piracy in a real sense can be a legitimate career choice. Rather than detract from the game I find that this diversity can help enrich it, although for a new player it can be hard to come to terms with as often in eve you learn from your mistakes.
It is not possible ...

Advantages: The most addictive MMORPG I have ever played Disadvantages: Perhaps too addictive?
...me, please read on.
EVE Online is a multi-player (some 3000-10,000 players online at any one time) game, where you shall, for most of your time there, be flying around in some form of space ship. Now, before some of you break into a cold sweat, dreading the thought of joysticks or complex keyboard layouts, I'll tell you now, there is no need for a joystick, the keyboard is mostly used to type messages to others in the game, this is not a space craft ... ...Blueprints.
Almost everything in EVE has a blueprint. From the ships you fly, to the equipment you fit to your ship, to the ammo in your guns and the missiles in your launchers. These blueprints can be bought, traded, given as mission rewards and even copied. You can also research the blueprints.
Blueprint Research.
Each blueprint has a list of materials required to build the object it describes. This requirement can be lowered by researching ...

Advantages: Huge online community Disadvantages: Repetitive
...Anyway, I came across EVE in a sale and seeing how you get your first 30 days without paying the subscription, I thought 'What the hell?'
After installing the game, I entered the initial account setup process. Being a complete beginer and not wanting to bother with the manual (Comes on the instal disk as a PDF file) I chose my stats at random.
The character creation phase seems quite in depth ranging from your initial race (4 to choose from), your ... ...on increasing your stats. With EVE it is a little different. You select a skill you want to learn and in x hours you have learnt it. If you want to learn the next level of that same skill it will take you longer to learn. The great advantage of this is that if you are offline then your are still learning the skill.
So, onto our fist mission. Whatever you choose to accept, you will be required to set off for a distant planet. Whether it is to deliver ...

Advantages: Lots to do in game Disadvantages: Somewhat confusing at the start
...online games to date but eve online is something new and I feel it will grow into a lot more than its sum.
The basic control interface for the game is easy enough to understand and there is a tutorial when you first start playing the game which is very helpful in getting a basic feel for the controls and a few basic missions under your belt as well as some spending money.
I would recommend that you take the time to do the tutorial.
After you have ... ...your own character.
I would suggest you choose one of the profession available and not like me build your own character attributes as to progress in the game you have to lean new skills and this takes time a lot of time so if you start the game and choose to be a miner for example you will already poses the basic skills and be able to start training them straight away and progress to a better ship/ships equipment far quicker.
some of the skills ...

Advantages: Amazing sounds, Beautiful graphics, New gameplay, interesting aspects Disadvantages: Long tutorials, slightly confusing, alot to learn
...honest, i was soooo wrong. EvE Online is one of those most amazing games i have ever played. They took space and they presented it to us on a completely new and different level.
The basic storyline is: mankind used up almost all of the Earth's resources, and had started colonizing the rest of the Milky Way to sustain itself. Eventually, there was no more room left in the galaxy, and what does man do? They start fighting. However, one day, a natural ... ...virgin galaxy. Two stargates (the EVE gates) were built at either end of the wormhole, so that when it closed (it would'nt be open forever), there would still be a way to access the new galaxy. Unfortunately, after the wormhole closed, a cataclysmic disaster hit the EVE gates, cutting off the new galaxy from the Milky Way and throwing the colonists, suddenly without much needed supplies, into a technological dark age. Many colonies died out completely, ...
