My reason for originally visiting this site was because my friend wanted a neon carling sign in her kitchen so I thought I'd get it her for Christmas. I thought there would be a website where you could buy Carling products but I didn't realise how much content they actually had. Once visiting it I immediately decided to register with them. WHO WOULD THIS SITE APPEAL TO? I think this site would appeal to a wide range of people. FA-Carling.com is a fairly useless site. I browsed it a few times last season and its contents were pretty unmemorable. The site does provide the latest news for each team but you can get that almost anywhere – what is the point of putting it on a website when you can get the same info on Teletext?? For a site like this to stand out, you’re going to need something special, a feature that no one else provides. FA-Carling.com doesn’t have this. There are so many good football sites and this one has to be one of the top football sites on the internet. It's updated regularly so keeping up with your footie team is easy and simple. The site is well constructed and its so easy to navigate. You can browse the statistics, football headlines or check what's happening in your football team. It's an excellent site to keep up to date with Premiership news and if you have five minutes spare it's well worth visiting to catch up on the latest football headlines. I found this site, when I logged on and it was on the address bar, so I decided to have a look, when I got there I was quit impressed, and you could chose a team. I instantly clicked on Liverpool and there you could read reports, and look at match statistics. As well as that you can check the club history, club squad and many more. Now released as (www.magicsponge.com) the Carling website is one which I visit quite regularly, and have done for a few seasons. Now the Premier League is rumoured to be the most exciting league in the world (debatable?) the question is, is the Carling website the most exciting in the world. This website is the official flagship of the major sponsors of the football Premiership in England. It has a simple enough results, fixtures and news section based upon generally "official news" and occassional stories from other news sources such as news agencies. It is kept up to date and updates much as other websites during games with the latest news and looks nice. This may be a good starting point for someone new to the sport or who wants the official line on a particular team or on the league. The site has been given a makeover and is now tagged as "The Beautiful Site" and has been renamed magicsponge.com. Whilst there has clearly been a lot of time and effect put into this site, it is clearly not a beautiful site, with loud garish colours. The level of information is not as high as it used to be and although the updates are now more frequent this site still fails to deliver.
