    I have recently split from my partner and am now facing the difficult task of starting a fresh from scratch with very little savings and no money for a deposit it really is going to be hard to find another home well that is what I thought until I found out from a friend about Fish4homes.co.uk and now I relise that there really is help out there and best of all it's free.     This site is excellent. Before I entered it, I was searching around estate agents and seriously worrying about my future, as I came out of it, I was relieved it is packed with everything you need to know. In comparison to university accommodation sites and individual Estate Agents, the fish4homes site is second to none. It has an average speed search engine, but if you are looking for the vital statistics, such a price and location, it is contained in the summary section.     I am currently trying to sell my home and buy a new one so I like the idea of my property details being on the web, and being able to search for a new house on-line. Unfortunately I do not use Fish4homes to do this. The site does not live up to its advertising. The selection of homes in my area (Cheshire) is very poor, with very few of the hundreds of houses being covered by this website. The site does not seem to be updated very often either.     Fish4homes is as good a place as any to look for a new home. Whether you are looking for a place to buy or rent fish4homes is for you. I am currently pricing up a few areas for potential moves out of the area for contracts for work and find this site very useful and it sure beats looking around the local papers and estate agents for rough guides to prices and you get all contact detail so you can arrange a move without moving from your PC. Fish4homes is a well-presented well-organised site as are the other fish4 sites, with the usual gold fish logo. The pages are quick to load when searching ... more

    Looking for a mortage and a new home is a scary enough project at the best of times but when you are given the option of using the net the problem becomes just a little bit harder. The wealth of sites out there is quite breathtaking but are any of them any good? Fish4homes is probably the one that is advertised the most offline and the one that most people would use. However, my experience with the site has not been one too positive.     Currently living and working abroad it is very difficult for me to keep abreast of the UK housing market, especially as I would like to purchase a property within the next twelve months.     I've spent many hours searching through housing websites recently and fish4homes is definitely one of the most comprehensive and user friendly of the bunch. On the plus, there are more properties on here than you'll find anywhere else, and the site is easy to navigate and clearly set out. It is slightly slow in bringing up the search results but for the amount of properties it finds this can probably be forgiven! For the first time buyer especially there is all sorts of useful advise on what to look for, what to ask, who to ask etc as well mortgage, insurance and moving advice. Unfortunately ... more

    What in the world is the point of branding property with fish, it doesn't even work out on paper, I started with tring to find the site.. fish4.com - a bait site, fish4something or other took me to a greek trawler company... ... Eventually, I get to the site, and am dismayed to see it identical to the properties I had just looked at on my local newspaper website!!! If there were a point too on-line property, surely, it would be eliminating the exiisting channels, and not running both. Anyhow, the site was quite informative, but was very busy...     Before we moved house recently, we started to look on the net for an idea of property prices as we were relocating to a new area, and Fish4homes is actually rather useful. It can bring up homes according to your requirements - ie you can search for how many bedrooms you want, what sort of area you want, how many bathrooms, whether it's detached, bungalow etc etc. There's quite often a picture of the house, so you can get an idea from the picture as well as the blurb.     This site is brilliant. It offers a choice of homes both to buy and rent and has a large database of options. The search facility enables you to give precise instructions and usually provides a huge range of homes to look at. The site is colourful and bright and encourages you to keep looking. It may not have exactly what you want but it will list all of the closest matches and can provide further information than other sites.
