Try elsewhere

Advantages: Cheapish
Disadvantages: Unreliable service, quality variable

I have used flying flowers a few times over the last few years and have always found them to be ok. Unfortunately the service seems to have gone downhill recently. I ordered some flowers for my mothers 78th birthday about a week in advance. On the expected delivery date, no flowers. When I telephoned there was no real sincere apology or offer of any compensation or bigger bouquet for my disappointment they merely said they would send more. 5 days ...
...These were the original flowers by now over 10 days old and fairly useless. The replacement flowers did arrive this time only 3 days late but were also very poor. Having spoke to others about my experience I appear not to be the only one who has suffered poor service on delivery and quality Needless to say I was very disappointed with both the service and the end product and will not be using them again. If delivery day and quality are not important ...

Flowers for a Gift

Advantages: Can order on Internet
Disadvantages: Do not reply to e mails

I ordered a special offer gift of flowers from Flying Flowers.com. I chose the delivery date and paid by my debit card. On the day, I had asked the recipient of the gift to stay home all day. Everytime the phone rang I expected it to be her saying thankyou. By 16.30pm I became a little anxious and rang the customer services dept to see what was going on. I was told to be patient and they would arrive within the two day delivery slot. The next day ...
...did not arrive. I had by now sent an e mail to customer services and have as yet still received no reply. I then rang them, only to be asked if I would like the flowers replacing. Not much use when the birthday had passed. I have requested a full refund and would never use such an unreliable delivery services again. ...

Blooming Useless

Advantages: Can order online, prices seem reasonable
Disadvantages: Poor Customer Service

I recently needed to send my cousin some flowers to thank her for letting us stay in her villa. Anyway, usually I would go via Marks and Spencers or Debenhams, however this time I thought I would try one of the smaller companies and stumbled across Flying Flowers.com. Their prices were reasonable and the various bouquets that they had on offer were beautiful. I decided on a £26.00 bouquet. I then had to go through the lengthy and dull registration ...
...I had completed all these which took about 2 hours, I was given a user ID. This ID gives you access to your account and also saves having to input details as I had done. However I did not make a note of this ID, big mistake I now realise. I was also told I would receive an e-mail confirmation. My bouquet was due to be delivered on 6th January 2003, although I had received no e-mail. I spoke to my cousin that evening who had not received the flowers. ...

Even The Young Waster could afford them...

Advantages: Very fresh high-quality flowers, attractive bouquets, delivery charge included, low prices.
Disadvantages: Over-complex order process, confusing delivery options and names.

Writing this op here on Ciao seems especially appropriate this time because it represents the first purchase which I genuinely made based on a Ciao recommendation- thanks due to Elainebaba, whose op is was I originally read, and most other Ciaoers who have written about this service as I went to check out some other peoples opinions too. Certainly shows that Ciao can genuinely have an effect on peoples buying habits anyway! After reading Avril’s ...
...which told about the great flowers provided by this company at a reasonable price, it gave me the idea to send some to my grandparents, who were celebrating their 57th Wedding Anniversary this year (57 years of marriage- sounds incredible to me but they still love each other!). I haven’t always had a lot of money, being a useless little waster, and being quite young it’s only fairly recently I’ve been able to buy them many presents, after all the ...

I am perfect, beautiful and have class

Advantages: see op
Disadvantages: It would be helpful if services are available to more countries.

Darlin I am perfect, beautiful have class and boy I deliver Hah hah! I bet you are curious! Well I will not keep you guessing yes! Here it is FLYING FLOWERS eChannel. History: Flying Flowers dates back in 1981 and became one of Europe’s company offering high quality flowers to holiday makers in Jersey who wanted to send flowers and gifts to friends and relatives at home at low cost. They became widely available, and as they expanded, nurseries ...
...offices set up in Holland and UK. I first came across flying flowers in one of the banners on my web site. My hubby ordered a bunch of flowers to a friend who had been ill, it cost him £8.99. When his friend rang him to thanks him for this lovely, thoughtful gift, he was so full of enthusiasm that I too decided to send one for my mother. What she noticed about these flowers, it was gift-wrapped and upon opening this she noticed how fresh and colourful ...

Good service

Advantages: Good Value for Money, Great quality flowers
Disadvantages: Smallish number of items available

I have only once had a problem with an order from Flying Flowers (from a large number of orders placed) Nobody is perfect but I always think that it is how problems are dealt with that differentiates a good supplier from an average. On one occasion an order placed was not delivered. Rather than haggling about where it was, whether it had been attempted to be delivered and the person was out, etc as some firms would, Flying Flowers simply offered ...

A Great Floral Service

Advantages: Great choice to suit all pockets
Disadvantages: next day delivery only available on selected products

I discovered flying flowers a few months ago while living in Austria. I needed a great bouquet as it was my Grandparent's 60th Wedding Anniversary and I was going to miss it....or so they thought, but that's another story. I actually discivered them through a link from the beenz.com website. You actually earn 300 beenz per order, an added bonus if you are into that sort of thing. Initially you have to register, a process which takes but seconds, ...
...you. Then you're away. There is a good selection of bouquets, though not hundreds - I say it's easier to choose from a smaller selection. Prices are very reasonable and at present start at £8.99. Prices include delivery so what you see is what you pay, no hidden extras. You are able to select a guaranteed delivery date as long as it is at least two days from the current date. At very busy times it may be slightly longer or a bulk delivery is offered. ...

Power to the Flower

Advantages: Delivered fresh when you want them
Disadvantages: None that I have found

If you are like me and have an aged mother living hundreds of miles away, then a service like this is a godsend. It used to be that you had to phone up, enduring long waits to be connected to place an order, but now they have a website up and running and you can order on line now, excellent. In the five or six years that I have used this company the service has always been first class. The flowers have always arrived in first class condition, well ...
...flowers are always in bud and open soon after delivery and last well even when subjected to central heating. When ordering on the website, the order is confirmed by email and after that you can track the order via the website. Prices start from a very resonable £9.99, delivery is always prompt, usually within two days, or to your delivery date. I should add that when you first log on to the site, you have to register and you are sent a password ...

If you like flowers delivered

Advantages: Quality of the flowers, service, discounts
Disadvantages: Only a limited selection

If you like sending or receiving flowers then try Flying Flowers. The service I have had from them has one of the best. If you order online then they will guarantee delivery within 48hours and you get free postage & packaging and also a discount on the actual price of the flowers you send. I've sent them to two friends and also myself because they are resonably priced and the flowers seem to last longer than others I have bought from other delivery ...
