    I am a student and therefore constantly looking for ways to make a bit of extra cash. I was recently clearing out my room and I came across some old phones which I hadn’t used in years. I had heard about some websites which exchanged old mobile phones for cash and had seen the television adverts so I “googled” it to see what it came up with.     As a student, I am always looking for ways to earn money to get that bit of extra cash. I'd heard about all these mobile phone recycling companies for some time, but had never got round to looking into it. So, last week (wanting to procrastinate and delay revision!)     I must start this review with a big thank you to Caroline (carcraig) and Becci (Chugglebunny). It was having read their very fine reviews that prompted me to try the services of ww.fonebank.com. I, like many people, have a drawer full of old phones, chargers and various other phone related paraphernalia. With every 12 month contract renewal comes a new mobile phone and the statement that I will hang on to the old phone….just in case…sound familiar?     www.fonebank.com This is one of those website which offers to turn your old, unwanted mobile phones into cash for you. I had read a review about a similar site on Ciao and remembered that my old Nokia 6020 was knocking about the house, doing nothing. I checked out the sale value for it on a couple of sites and discovered that I could get the princely sum of £10 for it on fonebank.com, a higher value than the other sites checked.     After successfully recycling a phone through Envirofone, I decided to give another business a go when my daughter changed her phone. This time I made sure I looked around for the best possible price for the phone which happened to be Fonebank. I was also able to get a bit extra by going through a cash back site. Fonebank as a site looks just like all the other phone recycling sites. You are bombarded with plenty of different phones; with the prices underneath them which you would receive for your phone should you choose to recycle it. Web based Fonebank is a company who actually pays you to submit any old mobile phones that you no longer require.     I had heard about fonebank through shortlist magazine and on various websites (most notably the money saving expert site) so, upon finding a stash of old phones in my cupboard I decided it was time to check them out. There are quite a few sites that offer cash for your old mobile phones so I did some research but decided to use the fonebank as they offered the most money for the models I wanted to get rid of.     I had absolutely no idea that money could be made out of sending old mobile phones to companies until I saw an advert on the television. It prompted me to search the internet and see what the best deals were. The Fone Bank, I found to be far and away the best to offer a good deal. I had two old Nokia Mobile phones that I wanted to make mony from. The FoneBank Website is really easy to use. They have a comprehensive list of different makes of mobile phones.     Well I found fonebank after randomly looking on another phone trading in website and finding out my boyfriends old phone (N95) was actually still worth quite a bit. I then used a tool on the moneysavingexpert website and found out that Fonebank paid the most. It was an easy to use website with good reviews, you basically just put in the phone type and it tells you how much it is worth. I am a little annoyed because i just put it in again and the price has actually gone up. Ah well. Anyway you just put your phone type in and it gives you a price (in cold hard cash).     I have recently bought a new phone and I wanted to get some cash for my old phone, a Samsung G600 and I couldn’t sell it on Ebay because the phone was not fully working. I then searched on www.moneysavingexperts.com which recycle mobile company was the best and paying the most and Fonebank came up the one with the best reviews and paying much more compare to the others. Fonebank was paying £6.00 for a working phone and £3.00 for a damaged phone. Other websites were paying about half of that.
