    Disadvantages Disadvantages Vanity publishing disguised as competitions

    I never thought much of it when my daughter came home from school talking about entering a poetry competition, after all kids are always entering these type of things and they very rarely win. I was really surprised a few weeks later when an envelope came through the door telling me that my girl was a winner in the poetry competition and was going to be published in an anthology of the best young Scottish writers.     Disadvantages Disadvantages no search facility, don't update often enough

    Youngwriters, owned by forward press are a publishing website for under 18 year olds. They do competitions for primary school, secondary school, teachers & school staff, seasonal and free prize draws for books. The competitions are free and they run a variety so there are different themes to choose from, there are normally prizes like money but most of the time you may get your poem published in one of their anthologies.
