    Glade Spiced Apple scented candle This is the second of these lovely little glass jars containing the scented candle from Glade that I have tried. They just sort of popped into my trolley as they were on special at £1.50 each. I do have a few candles I bought from Amazon (thanks Nar2 from Dooyoo) but I still thought these were worth trying as I do love my home to smell cosy and welcoming.     Glade spiced apple candle With Christmas coming up, and knowing that we would be doing lots of cooking and entertaining, i bought several scented candles to try to keep the house sweet smelling. The candle is part of Glade’s limited edition holiday range, and the scents include: Homemade Gingerbread; French Vanilla; baked pear and cinnamon.     I have bought lots of these candles over the past month or so as I love them so much, I find them such nice fragrances and this one I am reviewing today is another one that I love and it is a nice one for Christmas, it is a nice one for placing around the home to make it feel nice and cosy, especially at the moment with the weather being so cold etc. It comes in a pretty glass jar, it is attractive and looks very nice where it is placed around the home, in my opinion it smells of Christmas and mince pies, odd I know but that is how I find it, I think it is the Spiced Apple with Cinnamon that ... more

    Advantages Advantages Lovely looking glass jar, has a great burn time and you can get them at great prices

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The scent of this one isn't really for me due to it not being strong enough

    Before I get stuck into writing this review I feel the need to point out that the candle I am reviewing is the Spiced Apple & Cinnamon variety and not just the Glade Spiced Apple one and the reason for this is that Dooyoo told me to pop my review here and deemed it to be the same candle when I asked for the link which of course it isn't! I bought this three reasons. Firstly as a smoker and mummy to 4 beautiful hamsters and a gorgeous kitten called Myrtle I worry about what my home smells like, I love candles and find them a very relaxing thing to burn and the main reason I bought it.....well ... more

    I moved into my very first house in December and feeling in the festive mood went out and purchased some scented candles. A lot of people recommended the Glad scented candles so thought I’d give them a try.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly difficult to light when wax is almost gone,scent not as long lasting as others from range

    With the dark nights setting in from 4.30pm on an evening, my hopes of some form of summer have been well and truly dashed. I’m a lot more motivated when it’s warm and bright but the lead up to the festive season is a time I really like. I also find it a wonderful excuse to “chill out” on the sofa in my dressing gown as the dark cold nights draw in.     The Candle = = = = = = The Candle is by Glade whom is part of SC Johnson which is a family company. Glade are well known for their large range of different fragranced products such as candles, air fresheners, electric plug in's and more. The candle I am reviewing is limited edition and has a heart-warming scent of crisp apples and sweet cider accompanied by a spicy blend of clove, nutmeg and cinnamon. I love products such as scented candles and this particular smell reminds me of Christmas so I couldn't resist buying it when I saw it was on offer in my local One Stop store.     I only bought this Chrimbo edition Spiced Apple candle due to it being on offer at the very same time as I had some Glade vouchers. I've been let down by too many scented candles to risk paying full price for them but the total for three candles was just £1.75, which I thought was a bargain whether they had a strong or recognisable scent or not. The candle comes in a pretty and reusable glass pot, after your scented candle is finished the Glade pots make gorgeous tealight or votive candle holders.     Winter soon makes it's way round and the smell of summer disappears and everywhere just smells damp and cold. I am a big fan of Christmas and the Winter season so I always look for something to make my house smell warm and cosy. When I first moved into this house, I had been using these glade candles before and found this spiced apple scented candle in their range and decided to give it a go.     On a recent trip to the supermarket, I noticed that all the Glade candles were half price . As my home has a few pets - two cats, and two guinea pigs, and as I'm also an occasional smoker, it can on occasion smell a little fusty, so scented candles are just the thing for getting rid of musty smells . I picked up a selection of different scents, including this Spiced Apple variety . This one particularly appealed to me as Christmas is fast approaching, and with it's rather festive little red glass pot, this would match my christmas decorations well, fitting right in rather than standing out ... more
