go2call.com offers free calls from your computer to any UK landline and a few other countries. Of course if you pay internet charges then you won't benefit from the "free" calls too much as you will be still paying for the internet charges. It seems like a great concept but the call clarity is very poor and it does take a while to get online, get to their site, dial the number and get connected and once you are connected you won't think it was worthwhile as the calls are often distorted and have a short delay between callers. I had used Go2Call for many years with various technical and fund issues between 2001 and 2007 and using the system every day for calling around the world. Over the period I had managed evetually to get suppor for any queeries or problems but last time I credited my account it went off my card but then I could not log in to the service. Just got the message that the server was diconnecting me or that the login page could not be displayed. I got absolutely no response from many customer support emails and calls. over a period of 3 months so I have switched to Skype. Looks like Go2Call went away ... more

I had been using Go2Call for a while and I was very happy with it. That until one problem happened. I was just purchasing funds for my account as I did regularly. However the last time my credit card was charged but no funds were added to my account. When I contacted Go2Call support I was told that the transaction had been voided and that the credit card had not been charged (never mind what the credit card statement said).
