    What is Google? Basically Google is a search engine. For those who are unsure (although with Ciao being based on the web I am sure you have used it or another similar to it) what a search engine is, it is a website where if you are looking for information about a particular company or website but are unsure where to locate it you simply enter relevant keywords into a webpage and it will search through its records to find possible matches.     Google is the world's most popular search engine. A search engine is a program or a coordinated set of programs that crawls the web to find documents that matches keywords and then returns the matches in a list. Basically, it's the thingy you use to search for stuff on the Internet. There are loads about such as MSN, Yahoo, Ask but Google has dominated the rest and has become the most popular.     I would just like to write a review on google.com, although for the purposes of this review I am actually in fact basing it more on google.co.uk (although there is not really anything much of a difference between the two of them!). This is a website that comes under the term of 'search engine', and there are many of these search engines in existence that are all very good in their own ways (or not so as you may think on them!).     Disadvantages Disadvantages None really, non grouping of sites is a minor one, but.... by searching by type or by extending your search this isn't a problem

    When I first got into the internet I seemed to believe that the only way to find new sites was by looking on Yahoo. After a while I thought that Yahoo may not be the best after all, especially when I heard people refering to Google; hundreds upon hundreds of hits within a matter of seconds (often less).     At a quick glance Google.com doesn’t seem to be a very advanced search system to be using. It doesn’t have a cluttered home page (unlike other search engines such a Altavista), infact it seems to be lacking, there are only a few things that you can do from the home page. I like this, the interface is very friendly and inviting and not too confusing.
