    I´m a talker I am, its true, thats one of the benefits I´ve found of going onto the internet, when there are days like this where my voice threatens to completely disappear, I always need a spare outlet for my ramblings, and dagnammit if I can´t speak to people with my voice, I may as well type to them, and thats where places like Habbo Hotel come to hand.     Welcome to the habbo hotel, the habbo hotel is a online chat room that was first launched in 2000 in Finland. Then 2001 in the UK and then following 2004 in USA. The chat room is aimed at teenagers around the world. The current population for habbo is 118 million users however this is the latest figure taken from June 2008 and their is on average 8 million unique visitors monthly and 75,000 avatars being created everyday.     Habbo hotel is basically a glorified chat room, where you can go to meet your friends or complete strangers in one of the public rooms or in a room you have designed and furnished yourself(costs money). When you first sign up to the habbo hotel you will be asked to register a Habbo (which is basically a little figure).     One of the most popular uses of the internet is to communicate. Primarily this manifests itself through the huge amount of email that floods through the wirse every day. Yet chatting is always popular too. Internet chat rooms, especially those favoured by people like myself, such as Internet Relay Chat (modelled on CB radio) are very bland and basic. You type and it appears. Not much scope for creativity!     Habbo Hotel - an excallent way to communicate with others around the world! Habbo Hotel is the only chat service i basically only use nowadays and is probably the only site i visit everyday. One of the main attractions in this chat software is ofcourse that it certainly is amazingly different from any other chatroom. In Habbo Hotel firstly, like any other chatroom, you must register your account. This is free and is extremely easy considering 10 year olds use this. Needless to say, it's a chatroom where you can create a little charachter in a little world where everyone is the same height, no one is fat even if they say they are, and 1000's of little 13 year old pretending to babies, wolves, pumpkins, and god knows what. On Habbo you can do this with so much more. You control a Habbo (basically a little person) of which you can design to look like yourself or anythin you want.     Habbohotel.com is an online website which is aimed at teenagers and young adults. The website is free to join and only basic information is required to join up. Create a username, password, provide your e-mail address and then set about creating your habbo person who will represent you around the site.The head shape, hair & clothes can all be customised for free and then once your habbo is created you can begin to explore the site.
