I got started with this site innocently enough. I had a few books and CDs to sell, so I listed them. Then I realized that I could buy cheap books and resell them for more money. ...I'd advise against trying to make a business out of it unless you have a job already. Payments is at least once a month. If you use direct deposit, you get it once every two weeks. I highly recommend Half.com for anyone interested in selling OR buying used CD's, books, videos or video games. When I first dicovered the site, I went through my house and gathered up all the CD's that we never listen to, videos we're tired of and books I was tired of looking at sitting on my shelf. I use half.com often. I have about 50 books listed there now, all from my overflowing library. If I try to sell these books at a yard sale I'd be lucky to make a tiny amount. At half.com I earn half or less of the cover price. This helps me clear my shelves for new books. Why don't I donate the books? I have donated hundreds of books to the local thrift shop.
