Advantages Advantages Easy to use and no cut hands

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None at all

I'm not naturally good at craft projects, my cutting lets me down, the same if I do any decorating, my wallpaper cutting skills are not good, so my Mum bought me one of these little gadgets from Lakeland. The iSlice is a nifty little cutting tool that will virtually if not fully eliminate the use for scissors, well personally speaking anyway. The i Slice costs £4.49 from Lakeland but it is also available from Amazon for just £2.99. It is supplied in a plastic pack which allows you to clearly see the product. The packaging had a few examples of the things the iSlice will cut, these include ... more

Advantages Advantages Doesn't cut you but cuts what you want it to,

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price but it soon becomes worth it!

Promotopia iSlice Yep I was on another gadget! My other half must think I have an addiction! But anyway, when I saw this I could see the sense in it. What is it? You may be wondering! Well I will explain that in a second! I got the iSlice for a pretty good price of just £2 including postage and packaging. As far as I am aware (don't quote me on it in other words!) I think I got the iSlice from eBay. Though it may have been Amazon...! And to my knowledge they both still sell it for around the same price as I brought it. What is the Promotopia iSlice?! I understand that you may be a bit confused ... more

    Advantages Advantages safe

Disadvantages Disadvantages takes a while to get used to

The islice is a handy little gaget that I first came across in Lakeland. Lakeland introduces me to a wide range of nifty little gadgets that assist me in going about my day to day business. It had a variety of purposes and it is also very safe to use. *price and availability* The islice is available from Lakeland and priced at £3.99. I think that it is definitely worth the money as my product has lasted me nearly two years and it is only recently I'm starting to think that I could do with a new one. *description* This little gadget is extremely clever in nature. There is a small ceramic blade ... more

4 Stars Not for emos! 02/11/2009

Advantages Advantages Very tough blade. Built in magnet. Pretty safe.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Silver paint covering magnet wears off fairly easily.

He he a little joke there. But I have nothing against emos, only chavs. The iSlice This is a very clever and useful gadget. Gone are the days of hard to open super tough plastic packaging. Where it may come in handy Safe for using with kids (provided they don't swallow it), parcel opening replacements - even better at places like jails where inmates may try to steal a proper parcel opener/box cutter and use it as a weapon. Built in magnet means in can be stuck onto chosen magnetic surfaces. Packaging and whats included Ah yes the ironic packaging! This product is designed to help with opening ... more

Advantages Advantages Accurately manages straight lines with a ruler, simple to use.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Will never replace the scissors.

I have bought some of my better gadgets in the past from Lakeland and the iSlice Ceramic Tipped Cutter must be one of my better gadget purchases. Although I paid around £4 from Lakeland they are available online for between £2-£3 from Amazon.co.uk. Lakeland are great for such gadgets in the kitchen and home and this is a typical Lakeland product. They sell a whole host of unusual and useful gadgets and are well worth looking up online if you havn't come across the brand before. The iSlice has a ceramic blade which lasts a long time and having owned it around 8 months I it feels as fresh as it ... more
