Shopping without leaving your chair.......

AdvantagesNo delivery charge if you spend over a certain amount

DisadvantagesCan't do a whole shop there

"Living in a rural area, I have come to realise that not many of the supermarkets actually offer a home delivery service for my groceries, but out of the two that do, Iceland is easily the best and most competitive service. I shall do my best to explain why. Our local Iceland is in the heart of our nearest town, and I do not use it as often as I would like, the reason being the other supermarkets are on the outskirts of the town and are easier to ..." No More Frozen Nipples

AdvantagesNo crowds

DisadvantagesHaving to spend at least forty quid

"I decided to enter which was for me the virgin territory of online shopping after reading so many ciao reviews where the members recommended it. My freezer was empty so what better place to start than the Iceland web site. Please excuse the simplistic way I am writing this but I feel this will help all that have not taken the online shopping step either. Log onto the web site and enter your postcode to see if Iceland delivers in your area. Luckily ..." Read review

DisadvantagesDelivery was a bit late

"...are used to ordering online, Iceland.co.uk offers a range of other ways to shop, which are designed to make life easier for you. You can:  Get an “items I’ve bought before” list and edit it.  Create a “speed shopper” list, where you type a basic list (eggs, cheese, milk, etc) and the site searches for options for each  Access the “use past order” option, which allows you order ..." shopping has never been so stress free

AdvantagesLoads

DisadvantagesNot the cheapest

"As a supermarket i think Iceland has improved over the past couple of years (certainly since i worked there 3 years ago) but still has a long way to go before it rivals big boys sainsburys and Asda. What you can get in an Iceland store very much depends on the size of it, a small one will give you the basics but the newer bigger, stores will give you quite a lot of choice and range. The website will offer you what your local store has in stock (this ..." Read review

"I've used a couple of online suppliers for my groceries and so far Iceland is the best by far!!! The Site ~~~~~~ The site was well laid out, looked very professional and was quick to load. The first page was able to take the user to various places - shop now, check out all the online appliances, dinnerware from 99p if you spend £5, latest deals and whats new. As you enter the 'shop now' icon you are greeted with another 'welcome page' ..." Read review

There really is no need to leave the house anymore

AdvantagesFree delivery, excellent customer service, almost full UK-wide coverage

DisadvantagesProduct range dependent on local store

""What? I can order it ALL online? And delivery is free?" I asked a friend, bemused. I hadn't really been caught up in the online grocery shopping explosion - indeed, I actually thought services like these were only available around London and the big cities. I promptly fired up my web browser and toddled off to www.iceland.co.uk, not expecting my area to be listed. What a surprise I had when I found my local store delivered to my area. I believe ..." Mum's Gone To Iceland

Advantagesgood service, free delivery

Disadvantagesthey don't cover everywhere.

"When I lived in the Scottish Borders, my nearest supermarkets were five miles away. The thought of dragging my monthly shop on and off a bus was not very appealing and a taxi would have been too expensive. I looked around on the net to see what was on offer and decided to give Iceland a try. First of all itís best to have a little look around the store before you register, you can do this by clicking on the button that says Take a Look. Iím telling ..." Read review

All in the privacy of your own home.

AdvantagesDeliver to your door. Friendly service.

DisadvantagesHave to spend at least £50.

"I had never tried online shopping before. Appart from the occassional purchase on Blackstar, and the odd bid on ebay, I had been vary wary of handing out my credit/debit card details out on the inernet. I had heard such scarey stories and, being such a technophobe, I thought that the conventional way of shopping was for me. So it was with some tepidation that I had logged onto www.iceland.co.uk, registered and began to shop. I thought that if I ..." Read review

Why make changes

Advantagesstress free shopping

Disadvantagesnot knowing if item available

"I have been using Iceland online to do my grocery shopping for some time. It is really easy to use the site, everything is set out in catergories and sub-catergories, so once you have used the site a few times you know where all the products are found. If you order the same things each time you can save your order to use again. I like looking for all the special offers and all the buy one get one free promotions. Shopping like this is so ..." An Amazing Service

AdvantagesToo many to mention

Disadvantagesnone

"When I was looking up supermarket websites recently I was checking to see who would deliver to my home, not expecting any luck as I live in Dunoon - which to carrier services appears to be the back of beyond! I looked up Tesco, with no luck, then I tried Iceland, to my surprise they did deliver to my area - and I could even state a delivery time!!! Iceland's website say that they cover 99% of the UK population with their home shopping service! So ..." Read review

Disadvantagesservice, communication, delivery, aftercare

"From time to time friend recommend things to me and like most people it sows a seed of temptation in my mind. Several people had told me that they had been using Iceland online to do their regular weekly/monthly shop. Now I really love clothes shopping and browsing round the shops in my local city center, I have always been a sucker for a bargain. But food shopping on the other hand I find to be quite a chore!! So when I heard that I could pop ..." Read review

Shop in your pants

Disadvantages£40 min spend

"Our local super market where we get most of our weekly shopping, recently closed. OH NO!! We thought how are we going to manage with no transport and three children and one on the way. When I came up with the idea to search on the net for online food stores and hey presto came across Iceland's online shopping. PROBLEM SOLVED!! What you first need to do before you can shop online with Iceland is to check that delivery is available in your area, ..." Read review

Quality and Convenience

Advantagesopen all the time great offers no delivery fees

Disadvantages40 pound min. purchase

"I had thought to try internet grocery shopping around the Christmas rush season as the weather was lousy and the crowds at the shops horrendous. The buses were crowded more than usual as well with people carrying rather large parcels; shopping in person during that particular time of year was quite simply unappealing. My partner and I had decided to do our Christmas shopping online as well, so while looking at various shopping opportunities, we wandered ..." Read review

Sex on a stick

Advantagesfree delivery, good own-brand products

Disadvantageslimited range

"Let's face it, supermarket shopping is a pain in the arse. Screaming children, bad-tempered adults, pushing and shoving - and that's just the car journey on the way there. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to sit at home and for the food and groceries to just magically appear in your cupboards? Well, Iceland don't actually put the food away for you, but they do deliver to your door. I've used Iceland and Tesco's internet shopping services about ten ..." Read review
