Advantages: It Looks easy to use Disadvantages: it wasn't - and the helpdesk weren't helpful!!!
...cooking skills are very limited, Iceland.co.uk seemed like a very good idea!!
My daughter seems completely unable to cook without burning everything on the outside and leaving it frozen on the inside - so I gave her the task of decorating the Christmas tree and adding more fairy lights to the hundreds we have up all the year round. Then I settled down to ordering our party fayre!
At first I was really impressed, the site was easy to navigate and ... ...by making a list on the site after I'd registered,I named the list 'party', and before adding too much to it, came out of the site then logged back in to make sure it was still there - it was, so I continued to shop.
The whole party section was amazing - there are veggie, indian, oriental and good old sausage rolls all at bargain prices - the instruction was that I could have free delivery if I spent over £40. Well at '3 for £6'and '3 for £5', not ...

Advantages: No delivery charge if you spend over a certain amount Disadvantages: Can't do a whole shop there
Living in a rural area, I have come to realise that not many of the supermarkets actually offer a home delivery service for my groceries, but out of the two that do, Iceland is easily the best and most competitive service. I shall do my best to explain why.
Our local Iceland is in the heart of our nearest town, and I do not use it as often as I would like, the reason being the other supermarkets are on the outskirts of the town and are easier to ... ...a half ago I discovered the Iceland home shopping service, and have used it monthly ever since for a large shop.
From the home page of the website, it is possible to navigate to other sections and the most important point to mention before we go any further is that Iceland do not only sell groceries online. It is also possible to buy appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines and freezers to name but a few, with the Iceland guarantee of ...

Advantages: Free delivery if you spend over a certain amount Disadvantages: Not such a wide range as a few other stores
I have shopped a few times on the Iceland online shopping page,And i think it is really great value and is great,The thing i most like about it is ,they deliver for free if you spend over a certain amount. My shooping has always been ontime or has come earlier than said ,but i suppose earlier is better than late.

I must point out one bad thing though ,to use online shopping at Iceland as like many other they dont accept the visa electron card,i used to have a solo but recently lost it an was issued with a visa electron due to the solo being removed ,but im sure in the future it will b able to use at many more stores.

Advantages: Free Delivery Disadvantages: not as much choice as the bigger competitors
If like me, shopping in actual stores has become more of a nightmare than a pleasant stress free shopping experience then look no further than iceland.co.uk. With young children to drag round the store touching everything they come across I decided to try out home shopping. Iceland was chosen amongst a few others who operate in our area. All of the other supermarkets add approximately £5.00 onto your shopping bill at the checkout to cover a personal ... ...that is. I am on a budget so that is the main reason why I choose to use Iceland for my home shopping, Free Delivery. Apart from free delivery their choice of products is reasonably good, but I believe that that depends on where in the country you live and whether you live near a big store or a smaller store. I live near a smaller store so the choice isn't as good as shopping elsewhere with bigger supermarkets. Price is excellent, with lot's of offer's ...

Advantages: Good service and value for money. Disadvantages: Less choice than competitors
Why I started to use Iceland's on-line service:-
1) I was a Tesco shopper (review entitled Man and Van) but they delivered late one too many times.
2) I then tried Sainsburys who were terrible - they lost the order, blamed me, miraculously found the order and delivered my shopping several days late with no apology whatsoever.
My Iceland experience so far:-

The only irritation is every time special offer is selected, a pop up appears suggesting that the customer checks that they have bought the product in the correct multiples to qualify (e.g. 2 of a buy one get one free offer). This slows up the process.
The special offers are clearly marked.
The delivery

I have used the Iceland webiste for my grocery shopping on two occasions now and I can honestly say that I dont think that I will do so again unless it changes the way it deals with customers shopping and updates it site. My reaons for not likely this site are:

What is the point in online shopping if you only have to go out to the shops to get ... ...things that never arrived even though they were clearly there on my reciept. How on earth that can happen I dont know!
3. Whats more I recieved things I didnt order and certanly didnt want.
I am not totally against Iceland. I do enjoy most of the food they sell, as I obviously have shopped there and when I did complain about their mistake sthey tried to rectifiy them as soon as they could. That said though, at the end of the day if you still have ...

Advantages: Great value and stress free supermarket shopping Disadvantages: Minimum spend of £40 could be difficult if you only have a small freezer
Having always shopped at Tesco I decided to give Iceland a try when my weekly shopping bill topped £150 (just for the two of us!)
I purchased a chest freezer (also from Iceland who carry a good range on their website with prices starting at under £90 for a small chest freezer and delivered in less than 48 hours) and then logged on to their website to make my food purchases.
The site is easy to navigate and I have never experienced any problems ... ...homepage contains links for food shopping, appliance shopping, news and information (such as current deals, store locations etc) and competitions. There is also currently a link to request a copy of their CD Rom which apparently has all the same functionality as the website but allows you to do your shopping offline which would be great for those who don’t have free internet time from their ISP. I haven’t used this CD Rom so can’t comment but would ...

...here y'know!) to log onto Iceland.co.uk to place my order cos I really couldn't be bothered traipsing round the store with my kids in tow!
There I am browsing the isles, always on the lookout for the ever-popular bogof offers and the buy three for the price of two etc, etc, etc,........
I find *loads* of bargains like the latest *deal* :
Buy all 5 of these for only £4.00 GBP
Belchers 8 Original Pork & Beef Jumbo Sausages
Ross 6 Beef Grillsteaks
... ...Majestics
Sara Lee Bramley apple Pie.
It should be worth £10.45
Are they doing a deal or are they doing a deal?
(I bought three of these deals and it only cost me 12 quid for that little lot!)
And not to mention
Buy 3 Iceland Kids Crew 350g Breaded Ocean Treasures for £3.00,...among lots of other bargains like this.
So I fill my basket (in this case it should've been a trolley!) and go to the checkout. It all comes to £59.66 for 77 items.

I have shopped a few times at Iceland on the net, and it does have its advantages, the convienience of not having to leave your home, no fighting with shopping trollies in the aisles, the long queues as there are never enough checkouts open. the beauty of having it delivered to your door instead of having to lug it to the car and then race home before your icecream goes runny. Advantages: cheap Disadvantages: not hassle free - esp when store don't have goods
I have shopped in Iceland from a number of years and have found the store to be very helpful, cheap and full of bargains.
Due to recent health, I decided to try and order online. I had their order book in front of me and had made a list of the item codes thinking i'd need them.
On first glance, the website is very easy on the eye and looks simple enough for a 3 year old to use. You select your preferred delivery date just before you start to order.

Despite the order book being listed with codes, you have to scroll through the 'aisles' to find the items you wanted. There is an alternative to this, you can use the shopping list where you enter a list of items and when finished, press find, and pray the items are returned - often your description, however entered is not recognised.
A common problem with the website is though you KNOW they stock the item, you can't always find it, no matter ...
