I paid about £8 more ordering a router from insight because they offer next day delivery. The item failed to arrive next day. Item ordered tuesday evening....arrived friday. Customer support were initially helpful, but then did not respond to 2 message I left on voicemail. The person told me that she had a new phone so she wouldn't get her voice mail..... however she was able to receive my call using the same number. Sound like crap to you? Insight ...

I was charged twice for a Yamaha cdwriter I bought in the blowout section. I was still emailing 3 months after trying to get it refunded before they finally sorted it out and credited my a/c. No apology, no compensation except they said they would offer free postage on an order but I was so disgusted I didn't order for a long time anyway and when i did the value was high enough to merit free postage. I was looking for a new HDD to store all those illegal MP3's that Metallica generously donated to Napster (Napster good) and after a lot of searching Insight came up with the best price for a 30 Gb drive. I ordered the drive online and that was a relatively easy process. I then was given a number to track my order. That is something I find ...
...this case I didn't need to use it. I ordered the drive about 12 O'Clock 1 day and it duely arrived 12 O'clock the next. I didn't even take the extra charged next day delivery option. I had heard good things about Insight from friends who had ordered before they were bought by Insight in the US and were a small British company. I decided to order from them three components for my system, a video card, a tv card and a monitor. I used the web ordering system and the order went through and was accepted on 3 day delivery. 3 days later I had heard nothing. A friend asked me to purchase components to build him a system. Insight initially appeared to have everything he required at a fair price. When the order was made, the site said that I would need to wait 3-4 days for the free delivery. A couple of days later I got an email saying one of the parts was out of stock and would never be in stock again, I had to pay extra to get another component to do the same thing. Then I was still waiting for the order ...

I've used Insight a few times now and have had mixed results. They are very competitive price wise and stock a wide range of products which are generally delivered for free within 3-4 days. They have a good order tracking system to let you see how far its got. If you order something & you get it and it works then you are fine. If you have to send something back you might have a problem. Try ringing technical support and you end up listening to Mozart ...
...don't seem to know what they are talking about, and they always try and fog you off by suggesting you try something else when you know it bust and just want to send it back. However, when I have sent something back they usually replace it within 5 days. I have had a major foulup though.
