I registered with Jobsite over a year ago now, basically because I wanted to see what was out there in the big world of jobs. Working at the University is ok – but being a non-private sector area, I felt that if I was to get anywhere with my career I had to look further afield.
Jobsite is probably the first site I came across when selecting one to work with. Been a fussy old bugger I try sites briefly and if I ... ...the first 5 minutes I move on. Other sites such as Step Stone and Monster were ok but lacked a lot of what I felt was simple, easy control compared to Jobsite.

You get a clickable map of the UK (as that is where I am anyway!) so you can instantly get to jobs in Scotland, Ireland, etc.
There is a QUICK SEARCH that means you can look for jobs without any detailed stuff ...

I stumbled across Jobsite when I was looking to change my job some time ago. I started off by searching for jobs within my locality, and sending off my CV to those that appeared suitable. The site allows you to put in key words relevant to your required position, but also works by putting a town, city or region name in, and you can select to seek jobs which have been advertised in the last 1,2,3 or 7 days, the choice is yours.

With the summer holidays, most students are looking for jobs. The competition is awfully high so you really need to look around to get a good job with good pay.
Even though I am yet to find a job using this site, I am still very impressed with the site and definitely believe it’s got potential in finding jobs and therefore I would recommend anyone to go and have a look at this site. The site layout is very good and therefore surfing the site ... ...You can use the search engine to find a job or if you want conduct a power search from the jobs they have on their data. They do have quite a lot of jobs so you will get some matches, or you can search by your industry sector to see latest vacancies. This is one of the better job search websites that I have found. I was looking for a work placement as part of my university degree in European Business. This is site offer an extensive search feature that provided more relevant results for me than any other site. They also have a good email service where you can put in your criteria and they email you the relevant jobs that appear on their site.
However, the email thing is only limited to area ... ...broader job search. Apart from this, the website was excellent and you can even send your CV direct to potential employers through the agency listed. There is also a useful facility where you can save up to five covering letters and your CV.
The site was the best I found and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a job. The limitations, however, as with most job websites, is that they are more for IT and Internet related jobs. ...

Jobsite.co.uk is a relatively fast web site except when searching when there is a delay before the results come up. This site is well presented and easy to navigate. All positions are advertised within the last week so you don’t get the situation that the job went months ago like on fish4.
Services offered on this site include a job search facility in which you may save searches for future reference or the have ... ...either daily or weekly. Searches can be narrowed down according to area, job title and working arrangement (temporary/permanent).
You may personalise your site by registering for a jobsite user id once you have done this you may upload various CVs and Cover letters to enable you to apply for positions when you are searching, this makes life very simple a few clicks you have applied for the position.

...are generated. This is where jobsite.co.uk excels (perhaps a little too well!). You may find that your phone is constantly ringing for the first few weeks after registering.
I first used this service about a year ago when looking for a permanent IT position. The site was easy to use - I rapidly created a user profile and uploaded my cv. Online applications for matching positions was possible however I found most success came from the various agencies ... ...my cv the phone started ringing and didn't stop. Within a week I had had three interviews and three job offers (via three different agencies). I lost count of the number of agencies responding after the 30 mark. I've found this method far more successful than the traditional methods of jobhunting.
Admittedly I'm in a prime sector of the jobmarket for this type of site (namely web design) but this site is not only restricted to the IT sector. For ...

Job site not only allows you to search for the ideal job, but also gives you the oppertunity to select a few fields and recieve information on selected jobs through email every day.
The service collates jobs from many different agencies and is therefore very quick and easy to use. The idea of email with the jobs that you are after in the area of your choice just adds to the speed at which you can scan for that ideal job.

Stictly speaking, Jobsite is just a collection of job agencies, or in another word, the notice board of many job agencies. The quality and truthfulness of the jobs depends on the agency itself and is not directly related to jobsite. My expeience is that some agencies such as Elite Computer Staff can be really helpful and taken your personal needs into account but some other may just treat your CV as another lottery ticket and bombard you with lots ...

Forget checking websites with Jobs by e-mail. This needs a little fine-tuning when you set it up but it’s worth the effort.
I have been using this site some time. It has a well laid out site so you can browse the site and perform searches for jobs that interest you, as they are both in the location you want and they fit your skills base.
You can set up a Jobs-by-e-mail service. But first, I would do a few searches on the website to fine-tune ... ...jobs that you are actually interested in. These searches do work slightly differently from one website to the next.
Be careful to understand the context and used quotes to isolate phrases or multi-word job titles. Also, consider alternative wordings. One site may have jobs for “Technical Authors’ and another site may only have post for ‘Technical Writers’ and a third site may have positions under both.
Advantages: Very easy to use, guaranteed to find you a job Disadvantages: Job descriptions can be a little too brief
I have searched the internet high and low for jobs all year as I am always needing part-time or temporary jobs and I always fail. However I just hapenned to come into luck when I did a quick search and found jobsite.co.uk. This little gem is hidden deep into the internet but once youve found it theres no unemployment for you!
I simply did a search on the areas of industry I was interested in and it came up with hundreds in my area! I am a bit crap ... ...around and I didnt encounter any slow links or anything.
Unfortunately Im a very picky person and I didnt particularly like any of the jobs it found me so once again I left the site feeling disheartened as I had so many times before. However this site has something a bit different. All I did was click on five job areas and my location and every time came online that wonderful 'youve got email' sound appeared and u on my screen hopped loads of jobs!!!! ...

Not only does this site advertise seemingly only very poor quality IT vacancies but since posting my Cv I have been inundated with unscrupulous agencies calling me at all times of the day (including at while at work - which I clearly stated was inappropriate)hassling me with unsuitable job offers. I don't know if other sites filter/ monitor the agencies that advertise with them but only Jobserve has matched Gojobsite in terms of hassle and inconvenience ... ...with this level 'interest' from agencies claiming to have found my ideal job but I have been in this game long enough to spot a money grabbing 'consultant' when I hear one! I advise serious IT professionals to steer well clear of this enthusiasts job board as the quality placements with reputable agencies are definitely to be found elsewhere. ...

I registered with GoJobsite well over a two years ago along with others such as totaljobs and monster. When I first registered I signed up to their Jobs-by email service which is very useful as you get a daily e-mail with all the current jobs that are available which match your criteria which you can click on and apply for a job.
I have applied for many jobs on this site and have managed to secure several jobs from these applications I have made. ... ...as within days you will be fighting of the calls from the recruitment agenies with thousands upon thousands of jobs. If you are currently looking for a new job (which most people secretly do all the time anyway) then I would recommend this site, as it has proved invaluable to myself and I am sure many others also find it invaluable, none of the other sites produced as many results for me as this site.

I came across this website while looking for home based work and though to date it has not provided one suitable for me, I have found it very useful in looking for other positions.
It has a very comprehensive search facility that allows you to specify up to four different work disciplines as well as allowing you to choose your region specifically. It is used by a lot of companies and agencies as I have found many jobs relating to my specifications. ... ...as well as for guests to apply directly to the company from their site. It helps with writing covering letters as well. The most useful part of the site for me is the email alert whenever new jobs that match my search come up. This is very useful as you can choose to have all the details of each new job delivered to you or just a summary. This helps me save time when searching for a position as only positions I am interested in come up.

I would say that this is the best job search engine as I got my job through it, but I found it the easiest to use. There are a load of them out there these days and it is hard to know which is going to be the most efficient to use. I found jobsite had a good balance between a large number of vacancies and not bombarding you with irrelevant jobs.
