Advantages Advantages Excellent site to browse and make price comparisons

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Computers! Love them or hate them, they are a part of life now and God knows what we would do without them. You are part of this revolution, for you would not be reading this were you not. A massive market in computer hardware and software has been created, not to mention all the ink, paper etc that goes with it. With the hardware, you have two choices, either to stay at the cutting edge of technology and to pay through the nose for the privilege, or to lag slightly behind and pay less. I for one prefer the latter. I let others pay a kings ransom for technology that will be outdated in a month ... more

Advantages Advantages Good site, good stock range

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very, very poor delivery rate and customer support

Let's start by being up front - I am going to have a rant. But I also hate to condemn something over a single issue, so I'm going to try to give a relatively balanced view. When I first started using Jungle, I was relatively impressed. I was trying to get my hands on an HP DeskJet 990cxi (see my op :)), relatively new at the time, and dabs.com (who I dislike anyway - see my op on them too) reckoned they wouldn't have it in stock for two months. I needed a printer quick, so I tried Jungle, somewhere that one of my mates swore by for CD's and games. It didn't take me long to find what I was ... more

    Advantages Advantages Prices

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow in almost every respect. Shop around. There is better out there.

I started using Jungle the first month they went online, and have given them more chances since - After all their prices are often quite competetive. Unfortunately the overall experience is fairly poor. Yes, another rant... *** Site look and feel... On a first visit, the curvy lines and in-your face green-graphics provide an unexpectedly pleasant place to stop and browse a while... Unfortunately, this warm snug feeling doesn't last long. A little browsing leads to a couple of possible purchases being considered, which leads you to the registration process. I really thought that this would have ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap prices, good website

Disadvantages Disadvantages very poor customer service

When I first looked at the Jungle website I was very impressed. All of their products are prices very competitively and the website is fast and very easy to use. I found a bargain printer, Lexmark Z13 I think, it's been that long I can't actually remember. Bargain for £30 anyway so I ordered one. Delivery was very good, only took three days. First problem, no USB cable. Looking back at the website it does actually tell you that no leads are supplied so fair enough, my fault for being stupid and not reading it properly. Looking at the PC World website though at the same printer (which is ... more

    Advantages Advantages Great selection

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Bad customer service

I first started using this site when it was first called Software-Warehouse and everything was fine and dandy. Never had any problems and I ordered all my computer products which were promptly dispatched to me and I was happy. Then about 3 years ago they turned into Jungle.com and everything was still fine. The occasional delay in delivery and once the wrong item was dispatched but their customer service seemed to be generally helpful and things were corrected quickly. The Web-site: The web-site itself is easy to navigate with buttons and tabs leading you to each section. It's easy to join up ... more

    Advantages Advantages quick, easy, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages not always cheaper than high street goods

I first came across Jungle.com when it was time to purchase some new speakers for my pc. After doing a search it seemed that Jungle were the only UK online retailer who actually stocked the TEAC ones that I wanted. It gave me confidence that Jungle are part of the Argos Retail Group – I am always full of praise for Argos – so off I went into the Jungle on my search…… First Impressions ----------------- Very green and white – can’t miss their corporate colour - green! There does seem to be a real niggly bit to their website – I can’t quite say ... more

Advantages Advantages Delivery speed was second to none. Choice of products and order tracking also earn plus points

Disadvantages Disadvantages The website *can* be a little tricky to navigate for web novices

I know there's a squillion reviews on Jungle.com, but given my recent experience with them I felt I had to add my comments to the mass. I wanted to upgrade my friend's PC to include a CDRW drive. There's a tonne of these on the market nowadays, and I did some thorough research before starting a bargain hunt. One thing about me - I hate paying over-the-odds for goods, so the price of the item was imperative. I actually browsed onto Jungle as an afterthought - normally I would use Novatech or other peripheral websites, and it was a flippant click of the mouse that saw me arrive at Jungle.com ... more

    Advantages Advantages Service, Value, Website....

    DisadvantagesDisadvantages I haven't found any

Because of the work I do I need quite a diverse range of computer equipment and need a supplier who is good value but more importantly reliable. Jungle.com who I now plan to use regularly have proved to be amazing value and thier customer service is first class. A few months ago I purchased a CD Writer from them and figured that I would have to be patient and wait the three to five days delivery. Imagine my suprise when it arrived the following morning at ten am, especially since I was still in bed. It was all neatly packaged in plenty of bubble wrap in a secure box. Recently I ordered a new ... more

Advantages Advantages Good range of products on a well designed web site

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Customer service stinks

At first sight, Jungle looks like a quality outfit. The front page is heavy with all sorts of deals on the products they offer, along with all the usual things you would associate with a website who sell a wide range on consumer goods like navigation menus, search options and links to the main stores for each type of good that Jungle sells. They've been taken over, and are now part of the Argos retail chain. Will this rescue their reputation of poor customer care? Like a huge version of Dixons or PC World, Jungle.com sells stuff that falls under the banners of music, DVD, video, gaming, phones ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, easy, informative, reviews, competitions

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Delivery fees

As a Computer Scientist, I have spent thousands of pounds on Jungle.com and will continue shopping with them. Jungle are (at this moment) owned by Argos and provide a wonder online shopping service to anyone wishing to buy computer parts, or electronics-related accessories. With lower overheads than high-street stores, Jungle can see goods for cheaper. With the introduction of delivery fees, it is no longer as desirable to buy cheaper items such as CDs and cables, but on larger items such as scanners and printers the delivery fee is negligible. Jungle has a massive range of goods in stock, and ... more
