    I've been buying second-hand books for ages and when I finally got internet access at home a few months ago I could barely tear myself away from the screen. There are a few sites which have been up and running for a while but they are based in America and the postage costs can be quite high. But I found one in that's just started up in the UK. JustBooks has all the stuff that the others have but it's in this country and I also found some of the articles they had quite interesting to read while I was browsing.     When I was looking on the My Points (a reward scheme – for more see my opinion!) and I saw this site. You could get five books with 75% off, a free book and 500 points for My Points. I signed up immediately, really pleased with my offer that I had found on this site. I was looking through the choices that they had and I was very impressed – well over 100 books to choose from. All with 75% off! When you start to pick your books you can pick up to 5 books (no more, but less). I took advantage and got 5 books.     Having searched the depths of the internet for specific books and authors, I came across the site Justbooks.co.uk My search ended, this site is a one stop site for second hand and new books from collectors editions to paperbacks. The site is easy to use with a built in search tool to find books from certain years, editions, authors, titles and conditions.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Buyer is not properly covered for fraud.

    Even though justbooks is a site for used and antiquarian books, I was able to find some books that were recent releases. I found books here, which I could not find in the bookstores and neither in the library. While searching for books on my dissertation topic I found that many of the books I needed were either on loan or on order at my university library. Here you can find any old book, whether you are looking for an old edition or something completely antique. Whether it is about history, literature, cooking, children or riddles. There is also a special page for all those who love comics and manga.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Not one big company, but lots of smaller shops, so postage costs and so on can vary.

    I came across this site purely by accident, but now I look here first for all my college books. It searches books held by a number of small second hand shops, giving you access to books that you would never find otherwise. It may not always have every book you want, but I have found a number of college set books which cost me about half what they would new. Once you decide to buy, the site emails the bookseller, and from then on, you deal with them direct. The site does not take the money, or send out books, just holds listings.     JustBooks is a new website that deals with secondhand and antequarian books. They offer a range of different books in various categories. I was quite surprised with their exhaustive range. The price of books too are very reasonable with the option on some books to negotiate the price with the book seller. The site is easy to use, with a good search facility. The website puts you in touch with the seller directly (like QXL).I found a copy of Negroponte's Being Digital for only £4 with free postage in the UK.     i found this site very easy to use and thought it was therefore very user frieendly. However the service the time it took for me to receive my book was perhaps a little slower than i would have expected.
