It's a sad reality that a great many gaming stores are truly terrible places to shop. Condescending clerks, appalling service and sky-high prices abound, reflecting the very worst out hobby has to offer. LegendGames, however, doesn't so much break this mould as grind it into dust. I'm not usually interested in reviewing the sites I use, this is only the second time ever, but LegendGames.co.uk really impressed me. I was looking for dice (specifically D10s and D%, in colour-coded pairs for convenience) and found a huge selection of cheap, individual dice on the site. This is my first dice purchase from this shop. I bought some quite cheap dice from legendgames at about 5:30pm on as Tuesday, and was amazed to get them in the post the next morning - that even beats other BIG well known online stores - you know who I mean! It wasn't that easy to find 'normal' dice - I had to look for d6 and spot dice - but after seeing the mad variety of dice available I realise why!!! d6 means 6 sided - i.e. 'normal' to you and me. On-line game stores are all over the place but it's good to find one with such a personal touch. I've bought several different ranges from them - RPG books, dice, miniatures - and haven't had a single problem. The service is always excellent. Their on-line stock counts are usually accurate, as well, which makes a change. They're not afraid to tell you something is out of stock, but they go out of their way to get it in (the D&D Spell Compendium, for example, was notoriously difficult to get in the UK but they did it and kept me up-to-date the whole time).
