Filled in the form and sent it off and within a few weeks I recieved my user ID and my password. I have been banking with the LLoydsTSB student eBank for two years. The account has offered everything I could need as a student. The bank offered the best interest free overdraft out of any of the banks I looked at. For the first year there is a maximum £1,500 rising to £2,000 in the second year. The debit card which comes as standard with the account is a Visa card which means that it is much more flexible than the Switch based cards that many ...

I've had this account for about 2 years now and I'm still using it as my main account. Quite surprising as as the interest rate is low and some of the services are expensive. At the moment a lot of other banks are offering cash incentives to transfer your main account and the financial watchdogs are trying to make the process as easy as possible. So why have I stuck with this account for so long? The £8 a month fee is about £8 more than I'd like ...

As well as the usual Sentinel card protection you get worldwide travel insurance, a freepost gold-coloured keyfob so hopefully if you ever lose your keys they will be returned to you and I recently got a letter saying the account would also include break-down cover this year. Now I've been a TSB customer for ten years now and signed up for their phonebanking service, while convenient it was also very time consuming and a right pain and they then came up with the automated idea and this was just as bad. Their next scheme as LLoyds/TSB was online banking and I have to say that it is brilliant. At Lloyds/TSB I can log on and instantly see how much (or little) I have in each of my accounts. I can then click into my accounts ...
...I can move money between my accounts. I can set up payments and arrange for them to be paid on a certain date. I can see at a glance what standing orders and direct debits are set up on my account. I can check to see whether mine and my husbands wages have been paid.
