Advantages Advantages Track account movements and transfer instantly between accounts. Apply for e-savngs account.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Access code device doesn't seem to work overseas

GALLOPING ONLINE WITH THE BLACK HORSE I have been banking with Lloyds Bank (now LloydsTSB) for a long time. For the last eight or nine years, most of my transactions have been online. I had a few worries when Lloyds Bank and the TSB (Trustee Savings Bank) merged, but it didn’t seem to affect customer service as much as I had expected, and my loyalty seemed to be still appreciated. In 1999 I was introduced to the internet, and I had my first e-mail address. I'm not quite sure when LloydsTSB started offering internet banking, but I was quick to take advantage of it. I was sent a user ID number ... more

Advantages Advantages Online Loans very quick, easy and hassle free

Disadvantages Disadvantages Possibly too easy to get your hands on the cash

The Idea! After much time spent pondering i decided that i would buy a second car and had been thinking about the best way to go about this. I didn't have exactly have the cash in the bank to splash out on a brand new fire engine red Ferrari or for that matter a not so new beige Robin Reliant. So therefore i realised i had 3 options. 1. I could steal one....(not really thought through). 2. Buy the car on finance direct form a dealer although i imagine that when you arrive at the showroom quoting the superfandango zero percent cash back free insurance deal offer it applied to the one car in ... more

    Advantages Advantages Great banking services

Disadvantages Disadvantages You really don't need both

I have been with Lloyds TSB for over 2 years now and have never looked back. From the moment I entered my local branch to open my account I felt welcome and a valued customer unlike my feeling in Barclays. With my account open and my Visa Electron card and cheque book in the post I felt pleased with myself that I had made the right choice. Recently though I have been inundated with junk mail from them, trying to make me join up to their Internet and telephone banking systems. In the end I decided to join both systems as after reading the booklets and what have you, the systems seemed quite a ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy way to keep track of finances

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be slow at times

Lloyds TSB internet banking lets you manage your finances, apply for loans, credit cards, mortgages & pay off bills from home or anywhere with internet access. It seems very secure, you have a 9 digit username which is randomly given to you to prevent people guessing then you have a password which much be more than 6 digits & preferably a mix of letters & numbers. You then also have to enter your memorable information which very similar to a password therefore can be pretty much anything you want it to be as long as you can remember it! It can sometimes be irritating having to enter this ... more

    Advantages Advantages Internet Banking

Disadvantages Disadvantages Always trying to sell you something if you use the branch

I began banking with the T.S.B. at the tender age of 18 and from day one had no end of grief. I must admit at this juncture that much of this was of my own doing, getting overdrawn and basically pratting them about. Eventually, I grew up; a prolonged spell of unemployment does that to even the most stupid and arrogant 21 year old. When my account was reactivated, along with securing gainful employment once again, I refused a chequebook and settled for a cashpoint card only. Still I was charged for being overdrawn! I didn’t have an overdraft facility and therefore the machine would only ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent service, reliable and honest if they make a mistake.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cannot offer all HE students a student account.

I have banked with Lloyds for many years now and overall I am very pleased with their service. I opened a 'Headway' account when I was 12 years old. I used it for my birthday and christmas money. I then got a young student account when I was 16 and then upgraded to a full account when I was 18. Each customer has a personal account manager, that only change if they are promoted or move branches. I have had the same one for four years now, I prefer to have the same one because it's nice to know who they are if you need to approach them. When I was 18, I was approached by my account manager and ... more

Advantages Advantages Pay bills without visiting the bank, online statements, transfer money between your accounts

Disadvantages Disadvantages Statements sometimes a few days behind

Online banking with Lloyds TSB is easy and free. To sign up, all I did was go into my nearest branch and picked up a form. Filled in the form and sent it off and within a few weeks I recieved my user ID and my password. When you log you can transfer money between your accounts and pay bills without the fuss of actually visiting the bank. View a statement online and see a list of your standing orders and direct debits. The statements maybe a few days behind the actual date but are very handy, as you can see when and where you are drawing out your money plus any money that has been credited to ... more

Advantages Advantages Ability to check account whenever you like

Disadvantages Disadvantages A lot of view only areas

I am a customer of Lloyds TSB and I like to check my account most days to ensure the credits and debits are correct as I have had some past problems, so needless to say I was pretty pleased when they introduced internet banking, as previously I was using the automated phonebank, and I always like to see facts in figures in front of me, so the internet is a preferable option. The website address is www.lloydstsb.com, or www.lloydstsb.co.uk, and you log in or register from the home page for either personal or business banking. This is certainly the future of banking. I first started using this facility around August of last year and I am really pleased with this service. Convenience has to be the most important factor to me. Being a working parent I have very little time and this service offers a great way to keep track on your finances from the comfort of your own home. Their website address is www.lloydstsb.co.uk.
