LloydsTsb, now i dont want to call you liars or anything, but, your are. Whats the hell is the point of advertising 24hr on line facilities if the service is "OFF-LINE" between 12am - 4am for updating. Surely with todays modern technology, you systems are capable of updating on-line ?? If this is not the case then i suggest that you update your ancient systems and GET IT SORTED !!! I have banked with Lloyds (TSB)for nine years, and have always found their approach to their customers first rate. I recently took up the option of Internet banking, and can't rate it highly enough. I can now check my balance, my statement, my direct debits on a daily basis, and even pay bills. Paying bills certainly couldn't be easier. ...due to the fact that Lloyds like many other clearing banks have old batch processing technology which means that it has to process each days work during the night. This will be remedied next year when it switches to a real time computer system. Overall the security is good and uses latest encryption techniques, Lloyds is a conservative bank and would not enter this field until and unless the security aspect satisfied them. ... Read review

Advantages: They will extend your overdraft without your prior knowledge or permission
Disadvantages: That overdraft will then cost you darely should you ever fall into financial difficulties

I have been a customer of LloydsTSB for years but not through choice and I certainly wouldn't recommend them. I had an overdraft with them that I would have almost paid up now if it wasn't for the continuous charges they keep adding to my account despite the fact they I am not in any financial situation to pay but have been struggling to pay them regardless. I've been with Lloyds for over a year, and from the very first day of opening my account I asked if they have online banking service. Then it was the early days of its launch, and since then it has made a little bit of progress, I'd say! I have been a member of TSB all of my life, now LloydsTSB nothing has changes. The banks are quite nice, but the service is poor I can't remember the last time I didn't have to que for ten minutes or more. Still they have not made any mistakes with my account, although the charges are ridiculous for going over overdraft limits; so don't do it! Bank with Lloyds-TSB has never been easier. I'd banked with Barclays for a number of years and recently decided to use their online service. It is easy to read, no jargon, it has been written in simply terms for the general public to read, even with an 'A' level. Having been with TSB for over 10 years and now LloydsTSB I decided to try their internet Banking service. I have since used a number of others for example Natwest, Egg,First Direct, Smile, Cahoot. I have found that LloydsTSB is the fastest and easiest to use. They have little graphics which makes so much difference to speed. Everything works OK. I have only banked with Lloyds Tsb for a few months but I am really happy with the service especially the online banking service.Since I work the same hours as the bank is open this service is invaluble because I can change standing orders and transfer money between my accounts anytime in the evening.
