    When I have something that I don't need anymore I tend to store it away, just in case. I chuck it to the back of a cupboard, put it in the garage or loft and tend to forget it is there until I run out of space. At this point, I realise that I am unlikely to use it again and decide it must go. I then ask: can I sell it, recycle it, give it away or (least desirable) bin it?     Having now become the owner, as opposed to the renter of a new mobile phone, my mind turned to thoughts of what to do with the old one(s). I’d tried palming one off on my daughter who was in dire need of a phone of any kind, but it was apparently going to cost too much to unlock a Nokia e63, it not being one of those that can be done via e-mail having paid for the facility on e-Bay. In retrospect, since I now know that it has a trade-in value of a mere £30, it would have been a somewhat uneconomic task to spend anything on it.     Mazumamobile.com is a mobile phone recycling service that pays you for your old mobile phones. There are several online services like this that can be found at the moment that are all very similar, however, after my experience with Mazumamobile.com, I will not use any other website but this in future. I had a Nokia N95 8gb, which I had before I got my iPhone. I loved the phone and always kept it as a spare in case anything went wrong with my iPhone and I needed it.     Recently I’ve read a few posts, asking if this company is legit... after my experience of using them I felt I needed to do them some justice. Mazuma is part of the Ventura Telecom Group, and they recycle mobile phones in the UK. They compete with companies like Cash4phones and Fonebank. The idea is to go on to their website, enter the make and model of your phone and they’ll offer you a price to sell it to them.     As we are going on holiday soon we were looking around for ways to raise some extra cash. Whilst rooting around I came across a couple of old mobile phones lying around. I had read reviews about various websites that recycle them for cash and so I decided to investigate. After a bit of shopping around I decided to use a site called Mazuma Mobile.     I recently bought my sister a new mobile phone for her birthday as she'd been using hers for several years and it was looking somewhat worse for wear. I usually sell my old mobile phones on ebay, but I usually upgrade every twelve months and they are in much better condition, but as this one had been used for years and had some scratches etc that wasn't an option.     The concept of this site is pretty simple really. You have an old mobile that you want to sell and they want to buy it from you. I have recently traded in 4 old mobile phones that my partner and I had lying around for £44.00 and two of these are 'non-working (more on this later). It is a very simple to use website, you just load up the webpage search by model number on the top right hand side of the website, it then brings up a list of available mobiles for that mobile number and shows you a picture.     Mazuma Mobile is a mobile phone recycling company. Recently quite a few of these have emerged & along with envirophone.com Mazuma Mobile seems to be one of the biggest in the market. I first discovered this site after seeing it on a TV commercial & as at the time I had quite a few of my old mobiles lying around the house I thought I'd check it out to see if I could possibly make some money on there.
