    As a child of the 80s (just), my childhood music formats were casette tapes and CDs. Luckily I didn't buy too many of the former, however the latter - I have accumulated an obscene amount over the years! After hundreds of hopeless attempts to sell my unwanted CDs on eBay, and hardly making enough pennies to make it worth my while sending them, I decided enough was enough and went in search of another way to make money from my CDs.     www.musicmagpie.co.uk I seem to have built up quite a huge cd collection over the years, most of which I never listen to and which just seem to clutter up every available surface close to the (now broken) cd player.     I have seen the advert for the website many times on the TV but my sister has also previously used the website to get rid of a lot of DVD's and cd's and she mentioned how easy and good the website was.     MusicMagpie.com is a site that offers to buy your CD albums, DVDs and Games for cash. I'd heard of the site quite a while back, probably from MoneySavingExpert.com but came across it when doing a search for 'sell your CDs for cash' when I'd decided that I'd like to get some money back from the unused CDs.     Musicmagpie.co.uk is a website where you can sell any unwanted CD's or DVD's. How it works is that you enter on their site the barcode for the CD or DVD and they give you a price for the disc which ranges from roughly £0.30 - £3.00 depending on the disc. Once you have 8 discs you wish to sell to them you can submit your order. Musicmagpie will send you a postage sticker, you package the discs and send them back using the repaid postage.     Just before Christmas I decided to have a bit of a sort out of all my clutter when I saw the advert for Music Magpie. I had heard of the site for a while but never bothered about looking at it or even considering to sell my stuff.     Recently I received a bag of about 200 old CD's from my father (most of which i has never heard of), so i though about ways i could sell them and make some quick cash. After going to numerous car boot sales and selling a whopping total of 3 CD's, I saw an advert on TV for this site and after entering the bar code of all the CD's I ended up with just over £160.     I recently purchased a hard drive external to my laptop that holds upwards of 100,000 songs... One small box instead of the two huge chests of drawers in my living room seems an ideal compromise and I have been burning all of my CDs onto iTunes, which then gave me the dilemma of dealing with all of the CDs and how to get rid of them...I didnt want to give them away and I am not sure that I have the energy to do a Sunday morning carboot sale!     Music Magpie, which you may have seen advertised in an intensive TV campaign lately, is relatively new website which gives you cash for your games, DVD’s and CD’s. There is no catch, it does exactly what it says on the tine and is a trusted efficient site. Basically after creating an account on the website (musicmagpie.co.uk) you can begin to “sell” your items to the company by typing in the barcode.
