    Update When I wrote this review not all that long ago I was not expecting anything to change in the near future in how I see neopets. I have been a member for long enough that I tend to roll with the punches. Oh, how wrong was I? In the last week the Neopets Team have shown themselves to be pig headed, arrogant and completely incapable of paying any attention to 90% of their users. As I mentioned below the Altador Cup is a main attraction of the site, occurring once a year and a highlight for many of us.     My brother and I spend a lot of time on the internet, probably too much time. The site that we spend most time on is Neopets.com, a virtual pet site which my dad has renamed Neopests. I would like to give you a tour of the site so you can understand why it is that we love it, and why I am never on ciao - I'm always busy with neopets! I apologise in advance for the length of this review but I feel I must include it all in order to do the site justice.     Introduction ---------------- Neopets has to be one of the best websites I've ever had the pleasure to register with. There is so much to do on this website that it is quite hard to pick the best parts to review it but I will do my best to highlight what I consider are the most interesting parts of Neopets and also to point out some of the problems I've had in the past.     As you may (or may not) know I quite enjoy my games be it online, offline, console or board games, I find them entertaining and in some of the online cases a nice way to chat and make a few friends. Mostly I stick to RPG types or simulators but one particular website I’ve enjoyed for a good few years is Neopets. I think I first heard of the website when I was in Year Seven at school and I’ve lost and retrieved many an account as it’s always been one I’ve gone back to!     Advantages Advantages Fun, enjoyable for the whole family, plenty to do, educational.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Addictive, some pages need refreshing, down for maintenance occasionally.

    Happy Neo Year! INTRO I used to love Tamagochis – those little electronic pets on a keyring. Then I progressed to a couple of 3D Pets on CD-ROM – a dog and a cat. But our computer was deteriorating fast and soon it became useless for all but the essentials. The sound card stopped working and I gave up playing games on it. For Christmas, we were given a brand new computer with a faster processor and a working sound card. Suddenly, everything was faster, graphics worked, the sound was crystal clear.     i was first introduced to neopets by my friends who told me it was the most addictive site she had ever been on. at first i didn't believe her. i thought how can a virtual pet website be addictive. but its true. this site is very addictive! so be warned, if you go on this site you may forget that there is still the real world out there. so now i guess you will want to know what is this virtual pet site all about and how do you use it? if you haven't been on it before then it can be very confusing, but just be patient and you will soon get the hang of it.     Let me just begin saying thank you to karenuk, as it was after reading her intriguing opinion on neopets.com that I decided to check it out. Little did I know that these neopets were capable of brainwashing me into thinking that I was some kind of god, controlling there hunger and fun and wisdom etc, which has made me sit up night after night, caring for and training my neopets in order to reach there full potential.     So many people have written an opinion on neopets that there’s barely any point in me doing so, but I've been playing it all morning and realising I needed a break I've decided I should leave the site and write an opinion on it. Neopets, a site that allows you to own your very own virtual pet, has over 30 million users worldwide and that number is currently growing as it becomes more and more popular.
