    Originally I was going to write this review to tell people how bad this company is, but after the way they handled the situation, I’ll rate them five star positive instead – I mean, I cannot be doing with gross incompetence but everyone is entitled to make a mistake, I suppose. The whole saga all started two weeks ago when I placed a sizeable order for quite a few Montane items (an order of just over £500).     Avoid these jokers at all costs. Ordered some expensive walking boots on the Lets Hike website early in the morning. Boots were showing In Stock for Next day delivery, great I thought! How wrong I was. No dispatch notice and stock still Awaiting Allocation the next morning set the alarm bells ringing. Tried to phone Customer Service, or Dis-service as they should be known. 50 minutes on hold in a queue, listening to an irritating message and music.     Avoid this company at all costs - even if they appear cheap. - They take weeks to send the order (nearly 3 weeks in my case, and even then only part of the order), despite claiming that all the items were in-stock and they send stuff the same day if ordering before 2pm. - They also *never* answer the phone number provided - not once did I get through, in around 40 attempts over several days. - Finally, they never respond to emails, and I don't believe they even read them.     Rubbish! The delivery took three weeks and the wrong sized fleece arrived. On the telephone they agreed to replace it with another but only after they had received the wrong one back. I sent it first class that day since they promised to pay for that - (they never did). Then, two weeks later, they sent another wrongly sized one. Again I had to return it at my expense and they would reimburse (Oh no they didn't). They did eventually refund the money paid for the goods but not for ANY of the postage charges.     I wish I'd seen the other reviews on here before I ordered with Outdoormania! I too put in a big order (over £300) of skiing items. About 10% of items that were listed as 'in stock' on their website were not delivered with their first delivery and were noted as 'to follow', but arrived long after my skiing holiday. I promptly sent them back (March 2008) and I am still waiting for a refund for the items. They send emails in reply to my complaints that they owe me money but to date I have not received a single £ back ... more

    PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! I ordered almost £200 worth of skiing wear on the 26th January 2009 expecting the items to arrive within a few days, after all they do promise next day delivery on their website. By the time of my skiing holiday on the 1st Feb the items had not arrived, I thought it was probably a bit of wishful on my part so I bought skiing items elsewhere and thought nothing of the outstanding order with Outdoor Mania. I just presumed it would turn up when I was away and then I could return the order in the normal way! I returned from my holiday on the 7th Feb to find that one ... more

    !!!AVOID!!!!! The worst web experience I have ever had, and I have been on the web for a very long time........... If you can find a supplier in New Zealand who will ship overland via tuk tuk, my advice is to go with them! Outdoormania.co.uk just don't deliver, they will tell you whatever they think you want to hear just to get the order. AND - They never answer the phone.. "Hello, this is outdoor mania, all of our agents are currently duping other customers into making an order, please call back later" Whatever happened to, "you are in a queue????" ... more

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I received my order of Craghopper trousers but had to return them for exchange as they didn't fit. I returned them the same day and they were received by outdoormania the next day. I am still waiting for the replacement pair. No reply to emails and can't get through on the telephone. I wish I had kept the pair that didn't fit and sold them on ebay! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.....

    This is a company that will excercise your patience to the extreme. In their favour I have to say they were polite on the phone...however, the 3 successful phonecalls I made, were out of a total of 184. 3 weeks later having ordered an item advertised as in stock, I managed to cancel the order because it was not available yet. So 184 phonecalls made. Auto e-mail response only. Fax number not responding Unable after 3 weeks to deliver my order...and still promising... I would not deal with this company again even if my life depended on it!!!! Do yourself a ... more
