Advantages: Good selection of kit.. Order arrived promptly Disadvantages: Tracking information could be better but it's OK.
It was time for me to order a new PC as my current one was 9 years old and it was starting to struggle. After deciding that I wanted something a bit special I came across the Overclockers website. Their website looked professional and I checked out the reviews posted on their site by happy customers (silly really as they will always be bias) so I ordered a new PC which cost over £1000. I then found all the awful reviews posted on this website and ... ...My PC was ordered on the Thursday morning and it promptly arrived on the Tuesday morning. I anxiously opened the package to find the PC was well packaged and everything arrived in perfect condition. They even included boxes such as the motherboard and graphics card. I've nothing really negative to say besides their tracking information is a bit poor but it’s better than nothing. After reading all the negative reviews I just wanted to post something ...

I ordered a pre built system and samsung monitor from overclockers on the 27th, order was recieved the next day, However when i opened the side of the case i found the motherboard was damaged, Overclockers claimed it was damaged on transit.
After contacting them they arranged to pick up the base unit to repair it this was monday, On tuesday it was picked up at no extra cost to me, Wednsday i rang them to confirm they had recieved the unit, The guy ... ...pc had arrived that morning, The technician had replaced the motherboard, it had been sent back out and should be with me the following day.
Thursday came and The pc arrived back to me in perfect condition and full working order.
After reading some reviews on here at the time i was very concerned for my purchase, However i need not have worried, as overclockers were polite, efficiant, and kept me informed of developments at all times. I recieved ...

Advantages: Nice site Disadvantages: Teribble customer service. very very rude
Worst people i have ever dealt with. Stay well clear!!!! After looking around for overclockers reviews i have come across what the average review states "Good price and delivery, just pray you dont have to use the customer service" I purchased an XFX I7 MOTHERBOARD. When it arrived about 8 pins on the cpu socket were already bent. Si i put the board back into the box and rang customer service. This was how the conversation went ME: Hi sir i purchased ... ...xfx and they told me to contact the retialer for an exchange OCUK: I bet you did the damage yourself! ME: No sir it already arrived to me damaged OCUK: Well then i think you should ring up the manufacturer and tell them to buy some new machines becauase the ones they have are not working properly I was totally gobsmacked by this responce. Ive sent complaints via the webnote system but i have had no reply. Its funny how you can get through to the ...

Advantages: Great front end website, Active Forums Disadvantages: Rude, dishonest
The first thing about www.overclockers.co.uk is they have a great website and seemingly thriving forum. I have now discovered thats all a front. The forum is pruned vigorously of any bad rep and complaints are put into a private forum that only you and a OC staff member can see, there is no viewing of other peoples issues. Anyway..... Sunday ====== I ordered a Vanquish system as it seemed ideal for the work I do. I ordered it Sunday night but there ... ...choose a ring-back feature where a rep would call me to work things out over the phone. I selected the next available time slot which was 4:50 pm and waited....and waited...at 8pm the bank phones me and double checked that the order was legit, we said yes it was and they said that we can now go ahead and try again. We did, it worked, they had 10+ vanquish systems in stock and the next available delivery date was Tuesday. I selected Tuesday. Tuesday ...

Advantages: nice website, fast delivery. Disadvantages: No guarantee that what you recieve will work or is new ! Abysmal after sales support.
3 of us built new pc's, all hardware from overclockers.( around 2.5k total spent). All 3 had faulty Corsair Dominator ram, what's the odds of that happening? Very suspicious. I am now doubtful as to the 'newness' of any of the items we recieved. In my case refund quickly given without even letting me know they found a fault, no replacement offered, to replace it would cost me twice the original price. From £65 originally to £120ish to replace, in ... ...wanted an extra 60 quid to replace an item I got from them that did not work !! In short, item refunded, then twice the price if I want a replacement. There's plenty of reliable company's around who value your custom, and are actually apologetic if there is a problem, no need to use these amateurs who happily take your money, then develop an attitude when things go wrong. Customer Support are arrogant and patronizing. Given the choice, I would now ...

Quick review of overclockers.co.uk
Bought a good system from them, unfortunately it arrived in poor condition, hastily built and missing the video card drivers, manuals and game. It's been 3 months since I sent 2 emails, a letter, 3 telephone calls and I'm yet to have the issue resolved.
Do yourself a favour and AVOID! ...

Advantages: Website is easy to use, other than that, none... Disadvantages: Horrible customer service. An extremely rude Dock Manager who's name i'll leave out!
Lets face the facts. Not every company is perfect, there are many out there that deal with electronic goods who make honest mistakes. There are companies that might send off a faulty batch without knowing, a mistake, that hopefully, can be corrected with good customer service and cover. There are many companies who have to deal with the onslaught of constantly making sure they are minimising the mistakes, and insuring the customers are happy. Not ... ...themselves in a whole different category. Gangsta's is a word I'd describe them. I know people who have dealt with them, all but 1 hasn't received any problems, however, that 1 only dealt with them on one occasion. And of course, there will be those who order from OC on a regular basis, and never have a problem... But the facts and the constant negative reviews that pop up with OC's name speaks enough words. But it isn't about how many positive reviews ...

Advantages: none Disadvantages: they Dont put customer first just there profits
I just drove 126 miles to overclcokers to take my faulty motherboard back after receiving an email asking me to take it back for testing and replacement to be told I have to leave it because a tech guy has no time to test it. So I asked for it to be done while I wait and was told it might be able to be tested in the afternoon and I mean might so I was expected to sit around all day to see if it can be tested. since I had to be back home again before ... ...take it if they don’t have time to test it for me it was just a waste of £20 of fuel and customer service from overclockers is none existent as far as I’m concerned it’s a good job i have a back up computer overclockers customer support is useless and they find any reason they can not to refund you.
Just an update phoned overclockers to be told board has still not been tested yet, it takes seconds for them to take your money but to get it back takes ...

Advantages: Fast and Easy to Use Website Disadvantages: Horrific RMA Process, Unhelping Staff, Long wait before answering Phone
I used to buy from Overclockers on a regular basis (for their previously excellent RMA process and speedy contact via phone) but recently they have gone downhill. They now have an Incredibly Poor RMA process, Overclockers seemingly use any small excuse to not issue a replacement or refund (Without even checking the item!). Obtaining an RMA number seems to take multiple contact attempts and is a general nightmare to handle. It takes atleast 15 minutes ...

Advantages: Delivery Disadvantages: Terrible Sales Support
I received a fast delivery of my order. I tried to place a repeat order on-line and when I encountered issues, I called sales support........ Firstly an answer and then on hold for 4 minutes before I hung up. Second phone call was the 'ringing tone' continuously until the phone was hung up. Thirdly, I tried the other 'support' phone number, but I was told that this was 'technical product support'. They couldn't help and suggested that I ring the ... ...support number again and an answer message asking me to hold.......4 minutes later, I hung up. Not a particularly good sales support line and I am left none-the wiser!! They need to get some man-power behind their sales support phone lines otherwise they could lose a lot of business!! ...

Advantages: Delivery Disadvantages: Rude manager, false promises and lies when you call them.
Spent over £800 on barebone shuttle pc, CPU, RAM & graphics card. Excellent delivery, took two days after ordering goods. Spent a whole day putting it all together slowly reading manuals. Installed XP, couldn’t update. Realised Shuttle PC face was faulty, missing Bluetooth & wireless router as advertised. Asked Overclockers for help, for them to arrange pick up and delivery and the answer was no. Asked if I could send the machine back as it was (installed) ... ...the answer was no. Overclockers said ‘sent it back and you’ll get a full refund, including pick up & delivery charges’. What a lie, they didn’t want to give me any money back for pick and delivery. It cost me £52 to send it back using the same delivery service because DHL only covers £70 if lost, stolen or damaged. To get delivery insurance you must book on the phone with DHL and booking on phone will cost you twice as much if you book online. I ...

Advantages: ermm, none really, website is quite good Disadvantages: terrible customer service, rude staff, cheaper elsewhere now too.
I have been shopping with overclockers for a number of years, but all of a sudden its gone very wrong. Three things have gone wrong recently. Firstly i ordered a graphics card from them, and at the last minute i changed my mind, so i sent them a webnote to cancel my order. Surely enough, the next day the graphics card is delivered to me, i contact OCUK and receive an RMA to send it back, am still waiting for a refund (several weeks later). Next, ... ...to get bsod's on my machine, so started to troubleshoot by putting in some old ram i had lying around, this soved the problem, so i rma'd the new ram. Received an email from tech guy a week or so later saying that the ram worked fine, and that it passed memtest, i looked at the rma email i received, and apparently i reported that the ram had failed memtest?!?!? nope, i said that i was receiving bsod's - i gave up on this one in the end (after countless ...

Do not use this site if you want good customer service.
Their returns policy is rediculous, and sent my faulty graphics card back to me, AND took £20 out of my account without telling me!
Also their prices are high, and almost everything can be picked up cheaper elsewhere.
Honestly THE WORST customer service i have ever come across.
DO NOT USE!
Their delivery procedure is also rubbish, two of my orders(last orders i make) were dispatched either the wrong day, or not at all! I doubt I'll ever use them again, as they couldn't care less about their customers. ...

Advantages: With hindsight, none. Disadvantages: Very bad service, had to get a chargeback as they refused to refund.
Ordered a Dell 2408 monitor, arrived quickly but was faulty. Severe backlight bleed and non-uniform colouring. RMA as faulty for a refund. After 5 days of telling me it would be checked and refunded they finally admitted they'd misplaced it but now found it. Then said it wasn't faulty and refused to refund even though I had provided photos showing the problems with the screen. They said the photos didn't prove anything. I asked if they would refund ... ...as far as they were concerned it was fine and it didn't matter what Dell thought.
So I then said ok, then refund me under the DSR, the said I wasn't entitled because I'd used a company email account to order therefore I was a company. I said what did I have to do to prove it wasn't a company order, they said I couldn't - company email means company order - no DSR rights.
I have since spoken to my bank who have agreed to refund the charge for me ...
