    Paypal is an extremely useful website that can either be used for personal or business use. The site was originally set up by Royal Bank of Scotland mainly for use with eBay, though has become much more advanced over the years. The site can now be used either as an online wallet where you can link it to your bank account in order to spend your money online or you can also use it for business use, but will need to upgrade your account.     A lot of new internet sites are springing up especially in the U.S. and most of them allow U.K. members to collect rewards, especially "Paid to Click" and Paid e-mail sites, however with most of them the pay out can be very small, around 50c to $2 a month each, payment being in U.S. currency, a lot of them also have a minimum payment varying from around $15 to as much as $100, this obviously can take a long time to collect, indeed with the earnings with one company I was with I calculated it would take me over 100 years to collect the minimum amount.     Paypal can be a wonderful way to send and receive money securely and anybody who uses it will agree. It is easy to do transactions and you are always emailed a copy of your transaction be it money going out or in. This is where the praise ends!!!!!!     Advantages Advantages quick way to pay for tings, especially ebay

    Disadvantages Disadvantages no protection for sellers, seem to deliberatley want to screw you over

    Paypal for those that don't know is essentially a way to pay people over the internet by debit/credit cards. As long as they have an email address they can receive money. All good in theory as may not want to wait for check to clear or may have difficulties paying with cash etc. Main use for me is paying for items purchased on ebay. As pay instantly item is sent quicker as no waiting for cheques to clear etc. All was fine until I just sold a mobile phone on ebay and all hell broke loose!     I gamble in a small way at online casinos, my tactics have been to cash in when my account showed $100+ balance. However some casinos will charge $25 to send a cheque, taking up to six weeks to arrive from the USA to the UK, and then my bank was charging $15 (£10) to cash it, leaving me with $60 (£40).     In some ways, Paypal is a necessary evil, especially if you like to shop and sell items on eBay. I have been using the service for nearly a year now and I feel that I know enough to give you an overview of the Paypal experience and to highlight the pros and cons.     Paypal is an online payment company which is owned by Ebay and is mainly used by the masses for sending and receiving payments for items brought and sold on Ebay.
