Advantages Advantages Very easy to order, good customer service

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None really

I have a Sainsbury's store less than 2 minutes walk from my home but I've been using sainsburys.co.uk (which is listed here as sainsburys.com for some reason - it's the same site by the way) for grocery shopping for about 12 months now. Why order online when there's a store so close, you might ask? Well that's because basically about once a month I order items for the office such as can drinks, tea, coffee, cereals, fruit, dishwasher supplies, cleaning products, etc. When I'm ordering 20 boxes of cereal and 100s of can of soft drinks and tea and coffee in bulk, I'm certainly not going to be ... more

Advantages Advantages Amazing on all levels!!!

Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me! A perfect delivery!

INTRODUCION Before Christmas, we decided to do an online shop with Asda just to give it a try, we had never had an online shop before from any shops, but thought we'd give it a go, see if it was any better than going to a packed shop full of old dears chatting in the ailes and mums dragging their screaming children around, we ordered our usual and spent over £100 on the shopping, chosing our date and time of the delivery, the deliver slot was annoying been between 12 and 6pm, which was the first bad point of Asda online shopping as it meant we couldn't do anything pretty much all day! When the ... more

With the recent credit crunch upon us, I decided that it may be time to change my internet shopping company. I have been with Ocado for a few years and had no complaints except that the prices seemed to be creeping up and up. Before that I had used Sainsbury's, but had given up after the most ridiculous substitutions and items with a short shelf life. However, the best one came on the day I parted company with them way back in 2004. I had ordered a leg of lamb, some chicken breasts and pork chops, easy enough? The groceries at this time were picked from a large store in Coventry and not from ... more

Advantages Advantages Efficient, polite, friendly, good prices

Disadvantages Disadvantages A few teething troubles, but nothing major!

Updated this a couple of times now! Updates at the bottom! Having moved house in Summer, I was fairly keen to get to grips with this online grocery shopping lark. And I think Sainsbury's is a fantastic place to shop in - so much easier than "roughing it" at Tesco! So I registered with the site at www.sainsburystoyou.co.uk - which was painless. A few details such as name, address, email and Reward Card number (now Nectar card) and I was away, with my very own online shopping account. Seems then I let it slip my mind. Until I received an email from Sainsbury's offering me £50 free shopping if I ... more

5 Stars Sainsbury's Online Groceries Review with images 30/05/2012

Advantages Advantages Friendly delivery driver, food sent was in good condition, easy to navigate website

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I'm not particularly fussy when it comes to where I do my food shops, although I would say that Tesco is probably where I shop the most regularly due to their 'price drop' deals. Me and my boyfriend were shopping in Sainsbury's a few days ago and picked up one of their free leaflets which had a number of discount codes for first time online shoppers. There was £10 off £50 and £15 off £80 so I decided to do a big online shop as a fifteen quid discount is hard to turn down! Having never used the Sainsbury's online grocery website before, it did take me a little while to get used to the layout ... more

Advantages Advantages A cheap or even free delivery service with few downsides.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor use of packaging. Some poor substitutions.

I have a back problem. It objects to lifting anything heavier than a can of soup and considers pushing a trolley to be a torture designed in Hell. A couple of years ago I persevered with Tesco home shopping for longer than I should have done and, in desperation, went back to doing the supermarket run myself. Then a few months ago some substantial money-off vouchers tempted me to try www.sainsburystoyou.com and I'm quite pleased that I did. The site loads quickly, even on my rather antiquated dial-up connection. As you'd expect it's regularly updated to show the current offers and any seasonal ... more

The electrical home appliance market is one of the most hotly contested and competitive markets I have come across, I worked for a white goods distribution company some years ago and know the wafer thin margins that retailers are working on. It therefore surprises me to see the number of retailers that have jumped on the band wagon and have set up home appliance retail operations. It is not till you peek behind the facade of their websites that you see the trick. Search on any price comparison site for say a Hotpoint washing machine and you will get anything up to 30 different retailers, most ... more

I've always done my internet supermarketing at Tesco. I registered with the Sainsburys online shop ages ago, but never did anything about it. Then the other day I received an email from sainsburystoyou.com informing me that if I spent over £50 per week with them 3 times in the next month, they would send me a £50 (yes, FIFTY QUID) voucher for my next shop. Well, I took no more persuading, and off I went to the website last night. Registration ++++++++++++ A simple process no different to any other site. Just put in your details and that's that. You will then need to log on each time you visit ... more

Advantages Advantages bright clear website, punctual delivery, can still earn Reward card points

After recently enjoying a successful online supermarket shopping experience with Tesco; in the height of laziness, I decided to place an order with Sainsbury’s online at; www.SainsburysToYou.co.uk. Being a regular ‘in Store’; offline Sainsbury’s shopper and familiar with the brand, I thought it would not be too difficult; but as far as ordering from an e-tailer website goes; the site leaves a lot to be desired, so whilst it may be for ‘You’ its not for ‘Me’. Although there are quite a few 5-star rated Sainsbury’s reviews around which ... more

I had to laugh when I first showed mum internet shopping. She's very technophobic, and stll thinks a mouse is what a cat chases. She was very curious about the concept of internet shopping , however, so I agreed to give her a demo. After a few minutes, she turned to me and said in a disapointed voice 'oh, is that it. I thought you could push a trolly round the isles clicking on the things you wanted to look at!' I couldn't help laughing at her, but luckily she saw the funny side too. I first started using Sainsburys to you about a year ago. I didn't have a car, and had injured my elbow, so I ... more
