    A new service from teletext has become avaliable to anyone in the uk who owns a mobile phone and it`s great, why i here you ask, well for a start its abslutely free, it can be used on any mobile phone on any network and setup only takes about 10 minutes. What is it? It is a great new messaging service providing you with information that appeals to you ie:you are at work on a saturday afternoon and your favourite football team is playing but you can`t have a radio on, it dosen`t matter because with teletext you can have goal flashes and/or the final score sent to your phone for free.     We all know and love the traditional teletext system found on all televisions nowadays but the company have now produced teletext.co.uk. This site is rather useful in comparison to its blocky sister. As with normal teletext this site provides very up to date news, sports news, current affairs, financial news as well as the normal teletext games. You can search for late holiday bargains and book online. You can check cinema times by location and by film.     Teletext can now be found on the Internet, as well as on your television screens at www.teletext.co.uk This is a lot better than the telly version. For one thing, it's a lot faster! And no more pressing in the page number you want! All the usual things can be found here, like holidays, the latest news and what's on TV, and the lottery numbers. Along with the latest weather reports as well. At the top of the homepage is a list of headings to choose from.     Teletext Holidays is a website by Teletext popularly known by many from television. They basically tell you where to get the best deals for holidays - whether what or where that may be. They also have a series of competitions running on their site as well as some travel guides on how to get the best price and shows comparisons for prices as well.     I have used teletext for holidays since 2000. They offer some excellent last minute deals and are great for setting a bench mark before searching further. I have used various companies through Teletext to book both package holidays and flights and they have all been fine. You can look at Teletext holidays either through the TV or on the internet site. I have to say i prefer the internet site as you can search using options such as date, board, location etc. This way offers more choice and quicker results than the traditional method.     Just got an SMS that this service is no longer free. oooOOOooo FREE Football Alerts! on your mobile phone and for a novelty this site includes all the lower divisions and international teams, well the four nations (England, Scotland, Wales and Republic of Ireland) This site is just want I wanted eight days ago when a friends was stuck on the train to Nottingham during the Albania v England games, but I did not find it until after the event and I think it would have taken me longer than the 90 minutes of football to set up as the site is very slow.     Teletext.co.uk, a really simple and easy site to remember. I visited this site and my first reaction was it woul dbe daunting for people who are not used to the internet. They may find it had to look around the site. However, at the top of it there is likage to other parts of a holiday, such as hotels, flights etc. To book this all on one site is of great advantage. When I booked my holiday to Cornwall I didn't know about this site and would of prefered it if I booked it all on one site. I found that it took a while to load up on my computer, which has broadband, so I wondered how long it ... more

    Advantages Advantages its easy if you know what you want and is cheaper than booking at an travel agents as you are cutting out the middle man.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages sometimes it is hard to find what you are looking for, you cant just browse the different complexes to see where you would like to go.

    Teletext holidays is easy, if you have the patients. It can become hard to find what you are looking for and cant just search for anytype of holiday, you have to fill in the form, where, when what time, how long. What if you just want to see whats avaliable. In my opinion it is easy to look around for a place to go in a brouche than on the web site. The late deals, are not really that cheap, although it is cheaper than booking at a travel agents, but I have seen much better. However, if you do know when, where and what time you want to go it is very easy to book, and you can do it in your own ... more
