Hassle free shopping anytime I like.

AdvantagesStress free shopping, No kids or husband. shop at leisure

DisadvantagesCan't always see all the offers, substitutions, errors mine or tesco's

"Having an active 3 year old and several stressed out shopping trips, I took to ordering my shopping from Tesco's online and have not looked back since. Therefore I think it's about time I gave my views on this essential service for our house. Firstly you need to go to ***www.tesco.com*** (I find the site easy to navigate and is in tesco's traditional blue and white colours, nothing fancy but it's all it needs to be.) Here you will find several ..." Read review

MIDNIGHT Food Shopping without getting out of bed

AdvantagesFast, efficient service, delivery 7 days a week, can still earn Tesco Clubcard points

Disadvantagesnavigation of site could be slightly better, £5 delivery charge

" With the approaching cold weather; the thought of making a trip to the supermarket, hunting for the shortest checkout queues at the weekend and then carrying all those heavy shopping bags home didn’t sound so appealing. So, late on Saturday night I decided to do the weekly shopping without getting out of bed – yes that’s right the ultimate in laziness I ordered online using Tesco’s website. I registered with Tesco’s ..." Read review

Tuna recipes anyone.....

AdvantagesThe sheer bliss of missing out in the second worst job ever (the first one is cleaning the toilet;o))

DisadvantagesMistakes can occur....theirs or yours? ;o)

"...that night! I had heard of Tescodirect.com but being a bit of a snail it took me longer than some to check them out for real. It was whilst at work one day and a nurse mentioned that she had done her shopping before coming to work that morning, going on to exalt the benefits of Internet grocery shopping, that the proverbial light bulb finally flickered into a brighter light than the previous dimness, and I thought I would give them a serious look. www.tesco.com. ..." GRAB YOUR VIRTUAL TROLLEY....

AdvantagesOrder at home at your leisure, have your goods selected and delivered to your door.

DisadvantagesCan't see what you are ordering, substitutions made at times.

" Long gone are the days of going down to your local supermarket, pushing a trolley about that clearly has a mind of its own, the long queue at the checkout, then the frantic attempt to ram everything into flimsy bags in record breaking time only to find you have bought far to much. Struggle out with ten bags in each hand, arrive home with arms like jelly and your hands cut to shreds from the bags handles….ouch.. So what’s the alternative, ..." Read review

VIRTUALLY EVERY LITTLE HELPS

AdvantagesConvenient, user friendly

Disadvantages£5 delivery fee

"It was a tumultuous year last year. We had all sorts of ups and downs, and we were finding it more and more difficult to get on. It was a time of day thing – mornings and afternoons were a nightmare, and it was only very late at night that we seemed to be able to get on. I kept trying to be as patient as I could, but in the end there was only one conclusion – separation. So, early this year, we went our separate ways. I found a new partner, ..." Read review

Lazy Students R Us

Advantages.

Disadvantages.

"Post is a wonderful thing. I usually get at least 2 lovely little envelopes each day, and often more. In fact, the administrators of where I live know be as O7, the girl with the post... I don't often get parcels (unless once a week counts as often) but when I do it perks me up no end. Food parcels, even when I know they’re coming and have paid for them myself, do not disappoint in the slightest. You might think I’m just a lazy student ..." Read review

Tesco Direct - Hassle Free Shopping

AdvantagesSaves Time & Money, Hassle Free, Easier to Bulk Buy

DisadvantagesSubstitutions system needs tweaking, slow access times

"Everyone must have heard about Tesco Direct and plenty of people use it. I have to admit that it is a godsend for our family for 3 reasons. My fiancé and I are Chronic Fatigue (ME) suffers, so shopping via Tesco Direct saves us energy that we can ill afford to waste. We can also bulk buy for some items that we would not normally have if we had shopped ourselves, as we don't have to worry about packing it and getting it home. We save a lot of money ..." Supa Shoppa

AdvantagesNo queueing in store. Browse without stress

Disadvantages£5 delivery charge. cannot guarantee all items will come

"Although experienced in the purchasing of cd’s online, I have never ventured into the area of grocery shopping online. Until now. I don’t know why I haven’t done so before as I hate going to Tesco’s after work, it’s always so busy and I can’t drive a trolley properly! So, I registered at the Tesco website and begun to shop. And shop I did for 30 minutes or so. My flipping ISP disconnected me. Thankfully though ..." Read review

"~~~ I feel a little awkward posting right now but having sat in front of the news for the past 5 hours I felt like a break from the television and this opinion was already prepared. I am in no way being flippant by thinking about my shopping whilst the tragic events in America are still unfolding as rescue attempts continue. I'm posting as I'm sure, like me people here will be trying to relax and calm their minds a little before going to bed. ~~~ I've ..." Read review

AdvantagesSaves walking

DisadvantagesCan't make you're own desicions, bright orange squash

"Students are well known for being lazy. Not getting up till the afternoon, only eating food that can be cooked in under two minutes in a microwave and doing anything possible to avoid work. Now I like to think that I’m not to bad as students go – sure I do the sleeping thing well but the rest I’m happy to do. Especially cooking. The problem with cooking though is that you need things to cook with and someone has to go and get them. ..." Read review

"Tesco.com is a great site to do your shopping. You can do all your shopping from this one site. This site also has some other great offers such as banking deals and money saving offers. One offer that was on the site (Jan 2002) was a Fuji Digital Camera at only £99.95! They also do other great offers on Music and Films. They even offer a wide selection on clothes. Other parts of the site that are good are the ‘recipes’ part or the ‘baby’ ..." Read review

I used to hate shopping

AdvantagesNo Kids, Lower Bills, Delivered to your door

DisadvantagesNone, I love it.

"We have been using the Tesco Direct delivery service for over 18 months now, it started off with my wife having her leg plastered after an accident and me not having time to go shopping after work so the idea of getting someone to do my shopping for me was fantastic. OK so it would cost me £5 but with the cost of petrol to the store and back and the fact that it would take me a good couple of hours I thought it was well worth it. I started off ..." Read review

Let Tesco fight in the aisles for you

AdvantagesExtremely convenient

Disadvantages£5 delivery charge

"I have come to hate supermarket shopping. Because I work full-time, I can only go at the busiest shopping times and it’s a nightmare. By the time I’m done (and I’ve tried it at all times of the day and night but it’s always the same), my feet hurt, I’m sweating, at least one of the back’s of my ankles has been maimed by someone with trolley rage, I’m tired and I’m in a right old mood. (Incidentally, ..." Read review

It drove me to drink but they didn't deliver it.

AdvantagesNo need to visit store and reasonable charge for delivery.

DisadvantagesDanger of over-charging. Delivery times are hit and miss and you don't always get what you want.

" You shouldn't allow men to accompany you to the Supermarket once they get beyond the age at which you can take them up that rather quiet aisle where they have the nappies, smack the back of the leg, wag your finger, and say "you wait until I get you home". Nor should they be allowed to go on their own. They refuse to take shopping lists, and come back with a bag of apples, two vanilla slices and a newspaper as the week's shopping. A gentle enquiry ..."
