    With everything in my life finally falling into place, we recently acquired a place in the Costa Blanca. I know, I’m incredibly lucky. The house has been built in a small town about halfway between Valencia and Alicante, so, with a choice of 2 airports, air fares shouldn’t be too expensive. Having read lots of reviews, I trawled all the sites I knew for flights to Valencia and Alicante, but they all came up at around the £800 mark for 4 people.     This is my review of Thomsonfly new Long Haul service from Doncaster to Cancun: Cancun to Doncaster. Outbound: Got to Doncaster just as check in opened, Checked in very quickly at Doncaster. Given our boarding cards. 4 of us travelling 2 adults 2 children. We got seated in rows 23 and 24 A and B. Went through Doncaster airport which is very small but very efficient. Waited around for boarding. Sat directly in front of the plane so we could see everything they were doing to the plane. About 9:40AM we were called to board the aircraft.     My boyfriend has parents in Malaga and me and him decided we would like to go and visit in October just passed. We searched throught the usual "low cost airlines" bmi baby, jet2.com and easyjet and couldn't find anything particularly low cost. Just out of interest I had a look on thomsonfly as someone has mentioned they have low cost flights. As Leeds/Bradford airport is only a 30-40 minute drive we would have liked to have flown from there but the prices were really high.     We've all heard of companies that are offering flights really cheap.......however most of them only allow to travel one way cheap! Thomsonfly.com is different it allows you fly return cheap too. I recently found this site when looking for some cheap return flights to Ibiza. HOME PAGE The home page is set out really clear. In the centre of the screen you have a map of Europe showing all the departure airports you can book from. Below that is some example flight costs from the UK.     Where do I start? Well last year we were supposed to be flying from Coventry to Ibiza. We booked plenty in advance to take advantage of the low fares. I think the return flight was around 100euro all in which i thought was very reasonable. When we were on the way to Coventry airport a friend who was also flying with us informed me that he was already at Coventry airport and that the flight had been changed and it was now flying from Birmingham 3 h later than planned.     My mother in law lives in Morocco North Africa. We decide to visit and normally we have to go with BA or Royal Air Maroc which both of them have got very very expensive. So we decided to search for cheap flights to Morocco and we were very surprised there were a lot of cheap budget airlines going out there now. Easyjet,Ryanair, and Thomsonfly so we compared all three and thomsonfly come out on top. There was not a lot in difference but when you got the charges for bags on with Ryanair it bumped it up.     Disadvantages Disadvantages On this return booking - very bad indeed and not what one expects from Thomson

    My wife and I booked a return flight from Doncaster/Sheffield (Robin Hood Airport) to Malaga, Spain, departing 30th November 2008, returning on the 19th December 2008. Departure time 19.30, so we arrived at Malaga in good time - 17.30. When we went to check the departure board we could not see the flight on the list; we then noticed that others were standing around looking puzzled and when we spoke to them they also confirmed that they were due to travel on the same flight but did not know what was happening.     I saw an article on the 10 o clock news in December 2003 which mentioned a new airline called thomsonfly which would be running flights from 31 March 2004 at Coventry airport. I have family in Alicante, so had been looking for summer holiday flights for me, hubby and 2 kids. The cheapest prices I could find i.e. Easyjet, BMIbaby, etc were about £800 for a family of 4. I was on the net at the time and immediately typed coventry airport into my browser, found the link and started to search for my flights.     after much hassle trying to book a holiday for myself and my three year old son i decided to go to portugal we arrived ok but the flight home was a joke. We arrived at the very limited airport in faro within plenty of time 2hrs before flight, we were due to fly at 16.45pm perfect NOT!!!! then came the dreaded you are delayed for 2hrs ok i can cope with that, then the time changed again to 20.00hrs ok we got vouchers which were gone on 2 cans of pop, then the time changed again to 20.30hrs, still no sign of any staff from thomson.     flew with thomsonfly Sept 6th 2008 arrived in plenty of time to be told they had overbooked the flight only 2 seats left and there was 5 in our party and a baby.Were told we could take a later flight but would have to travel to Gatwick from Manchester for a flight at 6pm it was then 6am in the morning they would be compensated for there trouble 400euros per person myself daughter and baby took the flight and my husband grandson and son in law went to Gatwick caught the flight at 6pm but went to Barcelona first arrived at resort 2am in the morning was told the compensation would be waiting for ... more
