    I have five children to buy for that equal's lot's every present's every year to be bought what with birthdays and Christmas and with me being at home with them it can be very hard to get out and about to buy the gift's they want. That's why I do most of my shopping online and Toys R Us is one company I regularly use for buying gifts for my children and then all of the kids friends who invite them to their parties.     After spending most of xmas stuck in queues waiting to be served, I thought that I needed to change my shopping habits. Luckily I got to try out new ways pretty quick because of birthdays not long after xmas, so here is my experiences of using Toys r Us online. Will it be any easier than going to the local store?     When I wanted a Christmas present for my (almost) 3 year old niece, the first thing that came to mind was Toys \'R\' Us, however I don't think it will again in a hurry. The online store is incredibly easy to navigate, and they have a huge variety of stock, probably 2 to 3 times more than you would find in even the biggest Toys \'R\' Us store in the country. I found the product I wanted with ease and at a reasonable price, I could have got it a few pounds cheaper but went with the big name, which I could trust.     "Toys R Us - with toys in their millions, all under one roof". Sounds great, especially around Christmas time - get all the toys in one trip. Well, that was the idea anyway. My local Portsmouth store has always lived up to my expectations - it is clean, well organised and there are always staff around to help. In fact, on my last visit just before Christmas, a game that I was looking for was not on the shelves. A really nice girl spent around 15 minutes checking the whole of the stock room trying to find the game, without success. I left the store, disappointed that I couldn't get the game ... more

    Being a keen internet shopper and a new parent I was excited to try the Toys r us online shopping facility. The first time I ordered a cot and bedding for our new baby. All seemed to go well and the order duly arrived however one item was wrong. There was no phone number or address on the accompanying paperwork so I had to e-mail them to let them know of the error. I did this, using the 'e-mail us!' facility on th website and waited for a reply...and waited...and waited. I e-mailed again and waited... and waited..Eventually I found an old brochure and managed to obtain a telephone number which ... more

    I wish I had read some of the other Ciao opinions on toysrus.co.uk before I made the decision to use the site. Three weeks ago I ordered an item from toysrus.co.uk that seems to have gone out of stock in shops and which my daughter has been asking for as a Christmas present. Three days after that, a parcel arrived - unfortunately I was not home and delivery was accepted by someone else on my behalf - if I had been home I would have seen just by the size of it that there was some mistake.     Toys 'R' Us are, as you well know, one of Britain's largest toy stores in England. And this is their website. Choose from a wide range of toys and games which will keep you amused for hours. Oh, and not forgetting the children!! The catagories to choose from are toys, video games, home entertainment and outdoors/bikes. Each product is clearly shown with the price by the side of it. Click on 'add to basket' if you wish to purchase it. You can also search for a particular product.     I RECENTLY ORDER A GAMEBOY COLOUR CONSOLE ONLINE FROM TOYS R US, THIS WAS TO AVOID THE CROWDED SHOPS AND HASSLES, ALSO THERE PRICE SEEMED TO BE QUITE REASONABLE EVEN WHEN DELIVERY WAS INCLUDED. WHEN I TRIED TO ORDER THIS ITEM, I WOULD GO THROUGH THE PROCESS OF FILLING IN THE ORDER FORM, ENTERING MY CREDIT CARD DETAILS, FOR THE FINAL STEP TO TELL ME THAT THEY COULD NOT ACCEPT MY ORDER, I TRIED AND TRIED AGAIN, STILL GETTING THE SAME MESSAGE, I EVENTUALLY GAVE UP TRYING TO USE THERE ONLINE SERVICE AND PHONED MY LOCAL STORE, TO BE TOLD THEY WERE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ONLINE SERVICE.     Last Christmas I was trying to track down a particular toy that I knew toy'r'us stocked. It was within 2 weeks of the 25th and I was loathe to attack the shops. Toy'r'us was the only place I could track it down whilst searching online. As a friend had asked me to get it I felt obliged to place an order but when you read their terms and conditions they do not guarantee that their site is secure and they will not be held responsible for any problems arising. I realise that they are probably airing on the side of caution as I wonder if anywhere is secure after the Panorama programme (5.7.00)but ... more

    I ordereda bike for my son for Christmas a week before I wanted it and paid extra for a specified delivery date (22nd December). I got an e mail at 8.00 pm on the day, telling me it was out of stock and they had cancelled my order!
