I've been a member of UBoot since it started towards the end of 2000, and the service was great. Recently though it has become problematic and nigh on impossible to use. The original premise was great. Free text messaging and e-mails delivered to your mobiile phone (although these had to be 140 characters or less) and for a while this worked fine. Uboot is the first service that I came across on the net to offer free SMS. So far I have not found a better one. Some limit you to how many you send a day. This is not the case with uboot. You do have to register with them but then you do for most other SMS services. The messages are sent really quickly and you don't get annoying adverts which really slow thing down.
