    We all know around us someone who has/had cancer, or even worse, someone who has died of cancer. Well, my Godmother, among the people I know who had it, died some 10 years ago. She had a breast cancer that was operated upon and treated with the usual cocktail of drugs and radiation. As far as I can remember, she had a pretty bad last years of her life, living in pain and discomfort.     Cancer is a terrible disease. 1 in 4 people will suffer from it in their lifetimes. As of yet, there is no cure, and treatment and research is very expensive. The disease is terrible, and my deepest sympathies go out to anybody that is, or knows somebody suffering. I have recently lost a close relative to the disease, and I can assure you that it is not nice. With 1 in 4 people suffering, I wouldn't be surprised if everybody reading this knows somebody who is/has suffered the disease. This makes drug research a priority.
