This is a fairly high profile web hosting and domain name registration service. They are good in that break down the costs into monthly or weekly costs for the period that you register your domain name for. The multiple domain name registration function is very good compared to some. However, if you want hosting for a personal website, go elsewhere. If you need all the trimmings such as being able to manage your own MX records then you could probably find a better host, but for most sites uk2.net is a good, cheap solution to owning your own domain name. Don't be tricked by this domain regisration and web hosting(no features) 'company'. They charge an average price for a domain but when you have registered it with them you are pretty much at their mercy because it will cost you almost thirty quid to transfer it away from them to a proper host. I have had several domains with them for seven years. UK2 have proved themselves to be totally unreliable in all respects with continual failures in hosting and email and email forwarding. We have lost many emails desoite their reassurances. Support is inadequate and the service has just got wirse and worse over time... DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Not bad if you stay with them FOR LIFE... BUT I have my own domain that I bought through them years ago and now I am trying to transfer it across to Namecheap. This is my experience... Nothing but trouble! I have transferred about 12 other domains from different ISP's without a problem, but UK2.net is an absolute nightmare! Tech support is slow and rubbish. I am now attempting the transfer for a 3rd time! Oh, and if you want to phone tech support, it's gonna cost you 50p/min! Thanks UK2 for hosting my domain in the past, but from my experiences with you over the last few weeks, I will NEVER be your customer again!

Removed money from my card for hosting I did not ask for nor want; found high transfer added costs; tie you to them for two years! Very slow and unhelpful assistance! Proves very expensive in th end. Avoid. Calls cost 50 pence a minute. Beware of this company.

I cannot believe that this company has done so well, they treat their customers - of which I am sad to be one - with UTTER contempt. I have had nothing but problems from the outset. There hidden charges grab you straight away. To get any kind of running website, you have to bolt on added costs and before you know it it is costing a bomb. The advert stated 3 free domains with the Ecommerce package. I got one free and was charged for the others. The Ecommerce software is a nightmare to set up as there is no documentation on how to "personalise" it from the standard template. The SSL certificate promised turned out to be self signed and the customer support although quick the replies suggest they either do not read the messages or they have a computer to do it for them. It has been one long struggle and at the end of it I still do not have a working and secure Ecommerce site. Avoid these people!

They are promoting an E-commerce site for £9.95 a month. It says its compatible with PayPal Web Payments Pro UK but it is not. The E-commerce site is just a Pinnacle template and cannot provide SSL secure pages at the checkout on your cart. Even the example site is rubbish when you really look into it. I paid out for this as well as the registration of a doman name with them and their £50 customer service bill (to eliminate 50p a minute they charge for customer service or technical calls). Without a doubt, this is the WORST company I've ever come across and I think people should avoid them at all costs. I will write this off down to a bad experience,

UK2.net are an internet domain/hosting company based in London/Docklands offering very competitive web domain and hosting packages. My experience is with their dedicated linux server hosting (uk2.net/servers/) which has been very good so far.
