Advantages: wide-ranging content, ease of navigation Disadvantages: searches can sometimes be a little slow
...regions to search by - workthing.com was much better here and I was able to really restrict down to jobs that I would genuinely be interested in.
3. Applying/Enquiring on-line. Me, being quite sheepish about applying for jobs, just wanted to ask more about a job without submitting my CV or getting bombarded with phone calls from recruitment agencies... the option to enquire rather than apply online was a facility not available at most sites.
4. ... ...6. Plenty of advice available. Workthing.com is more than a recruitment agency service. It also offers plenty of advice on things that matter to people in employment, those dismissed from work, those made redundant and those seeking employment... current topics range from speed reading and assertiveness through to wrongful dismissal, psychometric testing and how to write a good CV... plenty of advice, and certainly something that everyone would find ...

Advantages: large number of jobs, relevant information Disadvantages: design a bit flaky
Workthing.com is a recruitment site in the same vain as Monster and Wide-eyes and a whole host of other online recruitment sites, with the exception that it is not run as a spin-off of an employment agency, but works as an advertising service for others, thereby at least in theory encompassing a wider variety of jobs.
The site itself is owned and managed by Guardian Media Group, who are behind the Guardian and Observer newspapers.
The site is rather ... ...sickly lime green border and some other pages using an paleish orange. However for all it's design pitfalls, Workthing is a very useful site whether or not you are currently in the market for a new job.
The site features general employment articles on such important matters as how to approach your boss for a payrise and other concessions, and working relationships within the office.
The site drills down into more specific sections according to ...

Advantages: Great selection of jobs and advice all free Disadvantages: None
WWW.WORKTHING.COM has been around now for about 18 months and I have to say is the best and most popular job hunting website around well for UK job hunters anyway and I was one of the first to try it out when it arrived along with it's huge advertising campaign which I may add was extremely successful. Now how to I describe this website without sounding like a walking advert as I have done in the past in opinions I have written eehhh oh well I will ... ...site you are given immediate access to the job such and after entering the trade in which you seek work it will ask you your requirements i.e location, wage etc etc and oh how fast it does this and you then get in reply pages of jobs that have you running for your CV quicking than you can blink.(unfortunatly they had no jobs for escorts but never mind plenty else lol). Next step with this fantastic site is to register so that you can have access to ...

I saw an advert for workthing.com on the tube one day and as I am currently thinking of changing jobs I thought I'd give it a try. It was well worth it. I was very impressed with the (free) service that they provide. Basically they can help with writing CVs and filling in application forms as well as telling you about various companies but the main service is letting you know about jobs that will appeal to you. You enter your details onto the system ... ...what kind of job you are looking for, what type of company you would like to work for, how much you would like to earn and where in the country you want to work. Then they email you a list each day (if you so wish) of all suitable jobs. You can apply on line for most of them or you are given a contact name and number to use to get an application form. I have been able to apply for over 10 jobs in a month from this site and it has saved me a lot of ...

Advantages: information Disadvantages: search and number of jobs
After seeing an advert for workthing.com on TV I thought I would give it a try, as I’m looking for a new job at the moment. My first impressions were not good the layout just looks unprofessional and the designer has no colour taste, basically all green and orange, not good! The site seemed well structured in terms of organisation though.
The sections on this site are workthing basically a job search utility which when searching for various ... ...up with zero jobs in comparison to other sites which brought up at least 50 in the UK. I thought it would be interesting to do a quick online course today from this site but on searching it goes to dead links. The advice thing section was useful it contains information you should know for your ...

Advantages: clear, easy to navigate, plenty of options, fast, UK based Disadvantages: none
This is, I reckon, the best of all the British-based jobsites on the Net today.
A division of Guardian Media, the 'skillsthing, jobthing, workthing' ads on the telly lead to a simple, easy to use recruitment site that can help you find the job you need.
The layout is so clear a chimp could use it and it's broken down into easy to navigate sections.
Just enter a few keywords and away you go, onto a concise jobs section which allows you to change ... ...etc. You may think this is the norm for a jobsite and therefore nothing specal but this looks good and has a bit of class about it.
The colours are clear and the design easy on the eye - and most importantly it loads quickly. Click on a job that interests you and a pop-up box with full details is there for you.
There are usually plenty of job choices, frequently updated and keywords call up only relevant jobs - unlike many job sites where whatever ...

I have seen an advert about this site on TV. As I seek for a new job now, I'm very interesting in things like this. So, I went to see. And I was delighted!
